This is a challenging project.  It took me two days to figure out how to write all clones in @file trees.  That was the easy part :-)\

This is also a worthwhile project.  Fixing this bug will eliminate surprises and will make @file trees considerably more capable.

I'm now working on the read logic.  This is a trickier problem than anything in the static type checking project.

The new code is enabled with the allow_cloned_sibs switch in leoAtFile.py.  This will be the only file affected.  When the switch is False, Leo's code will be more or less completely unchanged.  You could call this switch a lightweight branch of Leo.

I'll let you know when it is safe to set allow_cloned_sibs = True.  For now, you must **not** do that: doing so will completely corrupt any external files that you save.

Is bug 1084661 valid?  Is bug 1084661 related to bug 882243 or a different problem?
