If you're excited at the prospect of playing split screen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, we've got good news: You can! Even better news is that it's a straightforward and easy task to accomplish. All you'll need to ensure is that you have two controllers and that both usernames have been linked to their own Activision accounts. Once you've scored both controllers and gotten your accounts squared away, though, you'll only need to follow a few simple steps to start playing together.
With those steps followed, you'll now be able to play split screen in any modes that allow it. Modes that are not supported include the campaign, Zombies, Ground War, Invasion, and Free-for-All -- but everything else should provide you and a buddy plenty of high-octane action. Have fun out there!

The Xbox Series S is the less powerful but cheaper option out of the newest generation Xbox line. When comparing the Xbox Series S versus the Xbox Series X, the Series S takes a hit in all the component categories. That means it's not quite as fast. But if you're not hung up on getting the optimal performance out of your system, you'll actually notice very few differences. The two biggest ones are the Series S's inability to play in 8K, and its lack of a disc drive. Most people don't even have 8K TVs, so that shouldn't be an issue. If you're alright with downloading all of your games straight to the console's memory (and you have a separate DVD or Blu-Ray player), the Series S will work fine. It's quite a bit smaller anyway, and easier to fit on a shelf.
XDefiant certainly has plenty of guns and fast-paced gameplay to offer right out of the gate, but if you want to make the most of your options in gunfights, you'll need to choose a faction that complements your playstyle. Each faction features three unlockable characters who all share universal passives, abilities, and ultras that can turn the tide of battle in a heartbeat. Note: You can change your faction mid-battle, so always feel free to swap between them on the fly to better help your team accomplish specific tasks.

Cleaners are heavy damage dealers from The Division franchise, and they feature a kit designed around cleansing everything with deadly fire.
In a company interview with CEO Yves Guillemot posted on the Ubisoft website Thursday, the executive reveals that there are remakes of Assassin's Creed games in the works, although he doesn't specify which ones.
"Players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we've created in the past and modernize them," he says, implying that it could pertain to games made before Odyssey. "There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."

It wasn't until 2004, with the release of Call of Duty: United Offense, that the Call of Duty franchise opened a door that started a new era of intense online multiplayer action. And from that moment onward, the fanbase would experience massive expansion and even host several international tournaments that would cement the COD franchise as a competitive shooter. But, even though most players enjoy playing online multiplayer, some would rather play with their friends on split-screen.
Players that wish to relive the glory days of split-screen multiplayer can do so even in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. But setting it up may be a little trickier than before without proper guidance.
Gamers should keep in mind that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 only supports two players, unlike the early days of split-screen that allowed up to four players. So, to set up split-screen multiplayer, players will need an additional controller or a keyboard and mouse. Once players connect the additional device, they will have to link it to an Xbox or PlayStation profile, so players can either use an existing profile located on the console or log in with their own account.
Players can now start MW2, and once they reach the main menu, the second player should press the prompted button to join the game (X for PlayStation, A for Xbox, or Space for K/M). At this point, the second player must either log into their Activision ID profile or play without one. Players that log into their Activision ID will gain access to all their weapons, field upgrades, and loadouts based on their player rank. But, players that choose not to use an Activision ID will have to use default loadouts, which don't always have the best tacticals or perks.
Unfortunately, split-screen multiplayer isn't supported in all game modes. Most notably, players won't be able to play split-screen multiplayer for Spec Ops, Free-For-All, Ground War, and Invasion. If a player tries to join one of these game modes while on split-screen, the game will warn them that player two must disconnect.
Players can also use Quick Play to start a split-screen multiplayer match, but they'll need to filter out Free-For-All, or it won't allow them to start. Private Matches also supports split-screen multiplayer and lets players play Free-For-All, so players who wish to play that game mode can create a Private Match.
If you are playing Multiplayer game mode online, you will be able to play split screen except for some modes like Free for All and Ground War. You will also have to check these off if you want to use the Quick Play mode. You will be given more options for different modes if you choose to play offline.

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Campaign does not support split screen and it is unlikely it ever will, given that the narrative does not really lend itself to much of a meaty co-op experience.
Split screen is fully supported for up to two players in multiplayer games, both local and online. Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, Domination, and every other multiplayer mode supports split screen, though some of them are only available in local multiplayer, aka custom matches. First and foremost, you can only have two players participating in split screen play and no more than two. In previous Call of Duty games, it used to be three if not four split screens at a time. However, that is not the case in MW2 this year.
In addition, the guest player will either need to use an existing profile on the console that is being used or will have to sign in with their own account. Once you reach the multiplayer menu, the guest player will be able to join. However, in order to use their own guns and classes from their own account, the guest player will need to log in with their Activision profile.
Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen is the classic way to play the shooter with a friend sat on the couch next to you, without the hassle of setting up two machines and two televisions. Having split screen available is an increasingly rare option these days so it's refreshing to see it in Modern Warfare 2, however you can only use it for certain game modes and access to it is restricted exclusively to consoles, so if you're playing on PC then we're afraid you're going to be flying solo.
Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen is reasonably simple to set up, by connecting a second controller or a keyboard and mouse to your console, but you will need an online account linked to Activision for the other person which may put off casual players. There are also only a limited number of modes you can use this for, so don't expect to team up locally and play the entire game together. Not all game modes are available in Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen, so you can't use this to access the Campaign or, frustratingly, the Cooperative missions. On the Multiplayer side, you can't play Free-For-All, Ground War, or Invasion in split screen, so if you try to start any of those you'll get a warning screen saying it's not supported and you must remove Player 2 to play. Note that if you're jumping into Quick Play Multiplayer, you'll need to set the filter to exclude Free-For-All before you start matchmaking in Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen, otherwise you'll get a warning message and won't be able to search for a match without removing Player 2 or leaving the party and playing solo.
