You probably don't have easy access to a TV in your backyard (unless you happen to own this TV in a briefcase), but your phone or tablet will do in a pinch. One challenge of watching Netflix while outdoors is that your screen won't look very bright, especially if you're sitting in direct sunlight.
In case your phone's auto-brightness feature isn't working, you can adjust the brightness manually, and you don't even have to exit your show or movie. All you have to do is give your screen a tap and you'll see a brightness slider appear on the left side of your screen.
Sign into Netflix on your Apple or Android device and then look for the Cast button in the upper or lower part of your screen. Tapping that button will bring up a list of devices for streaming. While you have the option to connect your devices using a cable, you can also do it wirelessly using Chromecast.
This can also be helpful if you want to use your phone as a remote control, allowing you to search for shows by typing directly on your phone. It's much easier than navigating a keyboard using the arrow keys of your regular remote.
If you have a limited amount of monthly mobile data, you can control how much of it Netflix uses. In your phone or tablet app, go to the My Netflix tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner.
Downloading video is especially handy when you're getting ready for a long trip on a train or plane where Wi-Fi is spotty at best. If you're traveling with kids, you can keep them entertained for hours by having the live-action Avatar the Last Airbender adaptation downloaded to your mobile device ahead of time (or you can watch it yourself and see how it compares to the original animated series, which is also available on Netflix).
To download movies and shows for offline viewing on the Netflix app, select a title and hit Download under the Play button. You can view everything you've downloaded in the My Netflix tab at the bottom of your screen. Be aware that some content isn't available for download because of copyright issues or other factors.
You're about to see a big reveal in the newest season of Love is Blind, when your thumb accidentally brushes against your screen and pauses the action. Even if the pause only lasts two seconds, it's an annoying interruption that takes you out of the story. Luckily, there's a way to keep that from happening.
While watching your movie or show, tap the screen once, and then tap the "Lock" button at the bottom (between "Speed" and "Audio & Subtitles"). This will keep your video playing uninterrupted until you tap the "Screen Locked" button and select "Unlock."
To watch Netflix while using other apps, simply start playing a movie or show, and then exit the Netflix app. Your video should continue to play in a small pop-up window while you browse your email or open Google Chrome to look up "syzygy" (if you're watching 3 Body Problem).
Oh, and for iPhone 15 peoples, the existing two-years free applies. Meaning that on the whole, Apple has deferred this potential-payment-problem decision till 2025. These days, the feature is available in the following countries, for both iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 users.
The core difference with an app like RideWithGPS is that it also has sensor support (even Garmin Varia radar integration), as well as uploads to all the various 3rd party platforms like a head unit (whereas Google Maps will most definitely not upload to Strava).

2-I wish Peloton would allow none Peloton bikes to connect to their system, specifically for their scenic rides. I like to do those rides from time-to-time, but I am not a fan of the bike itself as I prefer to ride my Cannondale on my Wahoo.
Most other communicators (EPIRB/PLB, 911 call on a cell phone) will pass through an emergency call without any other charges, so long as the device functions. I think where Garmin and others in the satellite device arena are making their money is non-emergency check-ins and tracking, as well as messaging, rather than on a cost per emergency call.
I doubt it will ever happen, but it would be interesting if NordicTrack finally feels enough pressure to add Netflix to its platform after years of users having to use all kinds of workarounds to get it working.
Hi Ray, on my peloton bike+ (UK based) I only see the Disney App in the Beta Entertainment function. Is there a way of getting access to more providers or is all pushed depending on your country etc? There is the netflix app hidden away in the Apps area but there is no ride data displayed in a sidebar so pretty useless. Anyone else had similar experiences?

The account owner will need to purchase an extra member slot, then invite an extra member to use the extra member slot. The extra member must be activated in the same country where the account owner created their account. Extra members cannot be added to Netflix-included packages or third-party billed accounts.
T-Mobile is not making any changes to our Netflix benefit and are still making sure that you are able to get Netflix for your household with the On Us feature. If you are using your Netflix account in other households, then you would need to look at the extra members options through Netflix, but that would not be included in what is covered by the Netflix on Us feature on your T-Mobile account.
We paid for all these lines with this benefit as part of it and expect all of these lines to be able to use this benefit. This is the way it was pitched to us to get us onto this t-mobile plan from our previous tmobile plan.
Family: A family is a group of two or more persons related by birth, marriage, or adoption who live together; all such related persons are considered as members of one family. For instance, if an older married couple, their daughter and her husband and two children, and the older couple's nephew all lived in the same house or apartment; they would all be considered members of a single family.
T-Mobile would not pay for the extra memberships. If you upgrade your plan to Standard or Premium they charge you the extra cost. Why not be able to add a member to your plan (like you could if you had a regular Netflix account) and T-Mobile charge that extra cost also.
If you view your account details in Netflix, there is no Add Extra Members option. That option is only available for standard Netflix accounts, not third-party billed Netflix accounts like T-Mobile. This is a Netflix policy and there is nothing T-Mobile can do about it.
When you sign up for a Netflix on Us promotion, T-Mobile is not creating your Netflix account. You are redirected to the Netflix site to create an account that is billed to T-Mobile instead of yourself.
At least, this Netflix change does not affect existing customers. I have only a single line that qualified for the Netflix Basic plan, but I opted to pay the difference to upgrade to the Premium plan. So, T-Mobile pays the $9.99 for Basic, and I pay the $10 difference for Premium.
I suspect that the Netflix on Us promotion will be modified to offer the $6.99 plan with Ads. And an upgrade to Premium will cost $13 instead of $10. Anyone who has not yet subscribed to the Netflix promotion should do it now before these possible changes are implemented.
Netflix is losing money because of their lack of quality content. How bout not gouging your customers? And give us something that might be worth the addl cost? Imo they need to be a little more careful, recently membership costs went ulp, now this. A customer exodus might happen. Meaning in users language choice, not dubbed. What have they released lately that is water cooler topic? How about staying relevant before charging more and more for tired shows. Other networks continue to offer great new content, for example Paramount & apple. Lol even Hulu
