Dear lenstronomy community,

Over the last two years, the user and developer base of lenstronomy has rapidly grown. By now, there are more than 50 active users, 20 published papers which make direct use of lenstronomy and there are multiple packages/wrappers in development that make use of lenstronomy to facilitate specific science applications.

I compiled a list of packages that are currently public here (more packages to come!):
If you have written/developing your own wrapper/scripts/package and want it to have advertised there, please let me know!

To foster the interaction among the user and developer community, we set up a Slack workspace: https://lenstronomers.slack.com
Slack is invitation only unfortunately. If you would like to join, please send me an email!
The workspace can be used to request help, ask questions, advertise your work and generally engage with the user base. You can also create your own channel  discussing more specific topics, e.g. around certain affiliated packages or science cases.
For bug reporting, we encourage you to open a GitHub issue for good tracking.

This mailing list will remain with the release information and the major updates of the lenstronomy software.

Please also send me feedback on the community organization and how to potentially improve it to make your experience and research better.

Many thanks to everyone! It is your usage, feedback, development and engagement that makes the software what it is.

Best,
Simon
