It's been a LONG while since I went on a cruise but one of the most fun things we did on ship on our last one was a drink mixing class at the Alchemy Bar...curious as to whether they still offer this at all, and specifically whether anyone knows if they offer it on the Panorama. Thanks in advance!
My wife and I have done the class multiple times on various ships. Generally fun and a fairly reasonable value even if you have Cheers. My experience is that they are typically held the last sea day.
I'm generally a "known" patron at the Alchemy by the end of day 1. Sometimes the bartender will ask us if we are interested. Sometimes, we have asked to be signed up. At times, it solely depends on how many people of have signed up. A full class is typically 8 - 12 people. I have seen them add extra classes when demand was high. Recommend you ask on day 1 and start the "list".
They had it twice last November, one each on the last two sea days. Out itinerary stopped in Cabo first and had two sea days on the end. I was at Alchemy every night before dinner and had asked about the class on the second night. On Wednesday night Oscar asked if I was still interested and had me sign up - first on the list for the Friday class. Class was fun and was six martinis in by 2:00 in the afternoon!!
Just in time for the 90th anniversary of the Glacier Express, all panoramic cars are were renovated to ensure passengers have a more comfortable and pleasant journey. Following the relaunch of the Excellence Class cars in 2019, the newly renovated 1st and 2nd class panoramic cars also leave nothing to be desired.

I am hoping to get some clarification on how to purchase a Gotthard Panorama Express ticket. We will be traveling from Luzern to Lugano and have a 2nd Class Swiss Travel Pass that will be valid that day. I know that we only need to pay for the upgrade from 2nd to 1st class and the surcharge based off the info found here:
If you have a 2nd class Swiss Travel Pass, all you need is a class upgrade to travel on the Gotthard Panorama Express. So you only need to fill out the class upgrade (Klassenwechsel) option. The route option is for those who needs a ticket as well.
Hello! i have a second class swiss travel pass. i already booked a first class gotthard panorama express seat reservation. Does this fee include the upgrade from 2nd class ro first or its just for the reservation of the seat and i need to buy a ticket for 1st class.
You need a seat upgrade to 1st class to travel on the Gotthard Panorama Express train. This is usually not included in the seat reservation. You can find more information on how to do the upgrade here:
The issue is I want to change the mode from Panoramic to Scans. In the c++ documentation, the create method has an input of mode. However, the createStitcher class in Python only takes one input- whether or not to try gpu. Is there a way to specify the mode in Python?
Carnival Panorama is a Vista-class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. After Carnival finalized the ship's order with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri in December 2016, the vessel had her keel laid in January 2018. She was formally delivered in October 2019 as the last Vista-class vessel and as the flagship of the fleet; she has served in the latter role until the Mardi Gras debuted in 2021. Measuring 133,868 GT and 323 m (1,059 ft 8.5 in) long, she is the largest of Carnival's three Vista-class vessels. Since her debut in December 2019, she has been homeported at the Port of Long Beach and sails week-long itineraries to the Mexican Riviera.
In March 2015, Carnival Corporation and Fincantieri made an agreement for five ships to be delivered between 2019 and 2022.[5] On an announcement released on 30 December 2015, Carnival Corporation further established that the planned 4,200-passenger ship was set to be delivered to Carnival's sister brand, P&O Cruises Australia.[6] A year later, on 15 December 2016, Carnival Corporation announced that the original order for P&O Cruises Australia would be transferred to Carnival Cruise Line as their third Vista-class vessel.[7] The announcement stated that a delivery for the vessel was set for the fall of 2019.[7] To compensate for the order, P&O was to receive a retrofitted Carnival Splendor instead, however in September 2017, it was announced that Carnival Splendor would stay in the Carnival fleet and P&O Cruises Australia would get Princess Cruises Golden Princess in 2020.[8] On 1 December 2017, Carnival Corporation officially announced that the third and final ship in the Vista class of the fleet would be named Carnival Panorama.[9]
I will be traveling to (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? ta.queueForLoad : function(f, g)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', f);)(function()ta.trackEventOnPage('postLinkInline', 'impression', 'postLinks-84127889', '');, 'log_autolink_impression');Switzerland with a 2nd class 8-day consecutive Swiss Travel Pass, and I would like to take the Gotthard Panorama Express on Sunday, September 3. I must make a seat reservation, correct? Or is a reservation not required with a Swiss Pass? Also, are panorama window cars available in second class, or will I need to pay a surcharge to sit in first class to take advantage of these seats?
Seat reservation required for all tickets, which is 24 CHF. No panoramic windows in 2nd class. You will have to pay a surcharge to travel 1st class with a 2nd class Swiss Travel Pass. Travelled in the panoramic coaches when used for normal services on this line and was not impressed. See some photos at this link.
I have a second class Swiss Travel Pass, and I am attempting to book a reservation for the 11:12 steamer departure from (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? ta.queueForLoad : function(f, g)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', f);)(function()ta.trackEventOnPage('postLinkInline', 'impression', 'postLinks-85817967', '');, 'log_autolink_impression');Luzern Bahnhofquai, with a change to a train in Flüelen, arriving in Bellinzona 15:54 on Sunday 3rd of September. When searching website, I am seeing a "Purchase not possible" message in the timetable results. Does this mean the journey is sold out? I also attempted to purchase reservations separately for both the steamer and the Flüelen-Bellinzona train, but received an error message saying "a suitable offer could not be found.
You don't need to "purchase" a ticket, as you have a valid Swiss Travel Pass, you just need the seat reservation. And in case you want to travel 1st class with a 2nd class pass you can buy an upgrade (can be done at a railway station counter)
could some one please guide how to reserve seats on Gotthard Panorama Express. we are 5 adults and 2 kids 9 and 4 yrs visiting on july 24th. planning to buy swiss travel first class pass. do i need to buy pass first and then only reserve seats. on the happy rail link, it asks to pay without asking any other info. Will it show the seat options after i pay or is it just a general document stating that we reserved seats without any actual seat assignments? some people have suggested this link
Don't bother with a 1st class STP. Pay for an upgrade when necessary such as on this train or if you wish to travel on the upper deck of a lake paddle steamer. 2nd class is more than adequate for most journeys and some local trains have few or no fisrt class seats. Alternatively buy the 1 month Half Fare Card rather than the expensive pass and again you can select when you wish to travel first class.
ManifestOverridesPayload is a union - when returned from an API call exactly one value will be set and the returned type will be a subclass of ManifestOverridesPayload corresponding to the set member.
It's possible to use this class without being aware of the entire stitching pipeline. However, to be able to achieve higher stitching stability and quality of the final images at least being familiar with the theory is recommended.
You will have access to your own dedicated lab which you can use not only during the Palo panorama training but for a full three months without any time or usage limit. Your virtual lab consists of two Client Workstations, two FireWalls, a Panorama and an Extranet Server for practical exercises as described in the lab guide.
Can I take the course online?
Yes, we are offering all courses as instructor-led online training. Students join a web meeting (Zoom) which the instructor uses to explain all the topics using the official Palo Alto Networks training slides as well as a lot of whiteboarding and live demos. In addition, students have access to their own dedicated lab to put the theory into practice. We are running Palo Alto Networks courses online since 2013, and with this, our instructors have gained a lot of experience in delivering virtual classes.
While I enjoyed my 1st class ride (*casually flips hair smugly*), I have compared notes with friends who have rode in 2nd class in the past and it seems the main difference really is that 1st class has slightly more space.
In first class, there are only three seats per row (a 2-2 configuration facing each other on one side, and a 1-1 on the other side). On the other hand, second class has four seats per row (a 2-2 configuration on both sides). This means that 1st class passengers get a bit more space, and solo travelers like me have a chance to sit alone without awkwardly sweating next to a stranger. Otherwise though, I believe 2nd class carriages enjoy most of the same perks as 1st class, including table service.
There were quite a few (I would say 4-5) attendants who circulated between the 1st class cars and were very on top of things, always making sure my meal was alright, always asking if I needed anything else, and most importantly: looking the other way when they saw me vainly recording myself eating chocolate pudding (true story) and taking endless photos of myself. They made an awkward situation as comfortable as it could have been!
