* LenCD Survey: Please give us your suggestions about the future of the network.
* Brian Lucas joins the LenCD team as Knowledge Manager

Dear colleagues

This year marks an important point for LenCD and we would like to invite you to take a few minutes to give us your suggestions about the future of the network.
We would appreciate input before 25 January -- why not take a few minutes to respond now?  The survey consists of only 12 questions and can be found at the following link:

Since 2004, LenCD has been an active partner in the capacity development landscape, as an informal network of partners engaged around advocacy and learning on capacity development. LenCD has a wide constituency of organizations and individuals that have an interest to be linked to a learning agenda on capacity development and aims to support connecting evidence with practice and policy and closing “learning loops”. Following the Accra High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness, the LenCD partner meeting in Washington, December 2008 established a South-North Steering Group, endorsed a 2 year strategy and endowed the mechanism with an operational mechanism for managing funding. We are looking back on 2 years of
implementing an ambitious workplan, consolidating network functions and securing modest resources. To review and define the future strategic direction of the network, LenCD partners will convene in Kigali 10-12 February 2011. We hope you will be able to share with us in advance your thoughts and suggestions about the network and its role in capacity development.

Let me also take this opportunity to welcome Brian Lucas who has joint the LenCD team as Knowledge Manager as of this month. We are very please that this function finally receives competent attention and you will hear more from him from now on.

With best wishes
