Human feces and camped out homeless threaten our business - whom from the city can we ask for help?

I’m sure I am not the only one, but with increased traffic from high-level customers (e.g. we have the head of Panasonic US coming next Friday) the attached picture and the smell of human feces right in front of our door is becoming a really issue for us.

In my desperation I’ve even written to the mayor (ok, thanks, you can stop laughing now) but I wonder if anyone of you has a better idea on whom to engage for help. We’ve already hired a private cleaning company to clean our street, power-wash it regularly so to keep it in better shape.  But short of hiring a private security force - which I am not sure I am allowed to do and they would be allowed to keep people off the sidewalk - I’m running out of ideas.

Aside from it being disgusting and dangerous, its also massively damaging to have foreign high-level customers come in nice shoes and suits and then see and smell this.

Any ideas welcome!

Cheers,

we do this 3-5x per day for months now. They do come and clean up thrash within 1 day.
They do not clean up human feces, even if you send them a picture.
They do not get rid of the homeless - they transfer you to the police for the homeless people. And they might, or might not come. Today, they never came…

Cheers,

Peter
