Hello,

My name is Aaron Platt, and I'm a doctoral student in the sociology
department at Berkeley.  I and am wondering if you would be willing to help me with my dissertation research.  My study looks at how the structure of software engineering careers affects the way people think about whether, when, and whom to marry, as well as whether and when they would like to have children.  I am hoping to speak with 26-36 year old heterosexual male current or former software engineers for this project.  

 At this point, I am just asking potential respondents to fill out a short screening questionnaire.  If I would like to interview you in-person for the study, I’ll be in touch via email.  Selection for the interview portion of the study is based on meeting certain demographic and background characteristics for my sample.
