Trees are really beautiful. It is fun to draw trees with pastels, but drawing trees with a pen appears to be more interesting as I need to figure out how to express the details of different types of trees using only lines.
They are all drawn using a 0.7mm ballpoint pen.

Very encouraging comment, thank you Debojyoti
They are all trial-and-error pieces, i.e. I myself had no idea how the drawings would come out eventually.
I was really glad to see the results were lovely

I have an issue in drawings where occasionally my drawing tree will completely disappear, and is replaced by a detail tree, which is blank, I try to activate and deactivate the window to no avail. The layer tree will now only show in the model tree lower window, where as it usually resides in the upper drawing tree window. If I restart CREO the problem goes away and the drawing tree is restored.

Late January, as a proud new uncle Vincent set out to make more work but suffered another attack. As he moved to the town of Auvers, he stopped in nearby Paris to meet his sister in law and nephew. Under the care of Dr. Paul Gachet, he developed a close friendship and painted some seventy canvases, an astonishing outburst of creativity. He wrote to Gauguin, Have you also seen the olive trees? If you like something like you were saying about your Christ in the Garden of Olives, not destined to be understood, but anyhow up to that point I follow you, and my brother clearly grasps this nuance. I also have a cypress with a star from down there.

Salma Price-Nell gravitates toward patterns, harnessing their aesthetic and metaphorical properties through ink drawings. Currently based in the U.K., the Cape Malay illustrator painstakingly renders wispy willow tendrils, gnarled trunks, and wide, sloping canopies with delicate crosshatching and linework.

The New York Studio School presents Ron Milewicz; Light Takes the Tree, on view March 11 through April 14, 2019. The exhibition will feature a selection of small to mid-sized graphite drawings on paper.

Palm tree drawings are easy images for trainee artists to produce successfuly. I know this because I drew them after only one year of teaching myself to draw. Ok, they're not a classic work of artbut if you're like me and used to thinking you can't draw, any image you create is exciting!

With palm tree drawings, don't worry if the lines of the trunk aren't perfectly straight because most trees have lumps and bumps. Your imperfect bumps help to give a more natural look to the overall image so keep them asthough they were intentional.

These palm tree drawings were a breeze and they didn't take much time to produce. I hope you are inspired to test it out for yourself because that's my main aim with this website. Everyone should draw, it's good foryour health!

Have you remembered to put a date on your palm tree drawings? This is important because you can observe how much you improve over a period of time. I wish you all the very best with your artistic adventure.

A tanglegram is a pair of trees on the same set of leaves with matching leaves in the two trees joined by an edge. Tanglegrams are widely used in biology--to compare evolutionary histories of host and parasite species and to analyze genes of species in the same geographical area. We consider optimization problems in tanglegram drawings. We show a linear time algorithm to decide if a tanglegram admits a planar embedding by a reduction to the planar graph drawing problem. This problem was also studied by Fernau et al. A similar reduction to a graph crossing problem also helps to solve an open problem they posed, showing a fixed-parameter tractable algorithm for minimizing the number of crossings over all d-ary trees. For the case where one tree is fixed, we show an O(n log n) algorithm to determine the drawing of the second tree that minimizes the number of crossings. This improves the bound from earlier methods. We introduce a new optimization criterion using Spearman's footrule distance and give an O(n) algorithm. We also show integer programming formulations to quickly obtain tanglegram drawings that minimize the two optimization measures discussed. We prove lower bounds on the maximum gap between the optimal solution and the heuristic of Dwyer and Schreiber to minimize crossings.

That is true of trees, too, it turns out. Here, at Tree Wonder, the people intent upon their sketchpads connect with a particular tree. In our contemporary world, simply identifying a tree is a gift, one that Georgia presents to participants.

When you can walk in the park and know the names of the trees around you, the black locusts and the dawn redwoods, the deodar cedars and the cherries and the English elms, it brings the world alive, in color, in a way it was not before.

It is incredible to see humans connect with a tree as they do this morning at Tree Wonder. When I take people out on tours at Ellis Island, I always ask who can identify the mature trees on the lawn. Who knows the name of these trees? It is rare that one out of twenty people pipes up to say these are sycamores. (The person with that knowledge is always delighted to get a junior ranger sticker for their correct response.) I tell the group that when they go home, if they want to brag to their family and friends, they can tell them about these trees. They are distinctive for their camouflage bark and their age of almost a century. They were designated Ellis Island Sycamores in 1987 to commemorate the bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution. (FYI, not a cultivar, an honorific.) If you do go home and brag, I tell my visitors, I saw the Ellis Island Sycamores, you might draw a blank expression, but you can explain it all to them and look like a big shot.

But it goes beyond bragging rights. It can enrich your life just to be able to name the trees you see. It makes the world more vivid, a change from seeing trees just as one green whoosh along the highway.

Drawing trees is the first art for any amateur artist due to it's simplicity. Interestingly tree drawings are used for many purposes and drawn with different techniques too. If you are looking to become a landscape artist, it becomes mandatory to get the trees right, since it requires more realistic looking ones. If you take a closer look at any tree, during different parts of the day, they look different, due to shadows and shade. It's more like a 3D tree, so if you want to get them right, shading, light effects are the techniques you need to master, to get yourself a 3D tree art. Here are some beautiful examples of tree drawings, which you can start trying from the comfort of your homes. Once you understand your tree, you can try out fantasy trees, 3D trees or even tree wind chimes, to add an extra artistic touch to your rooms. Somehow walking through a bunch of trees is soul relaxing, but if you no trees near where you live, you can try ou these tree drawings for every room and relax.

Family tree drawings hold significant importance for everyone. They provide a powerful means of understanding and connecting with one's heritage and ancestry. Here are the things you should understand when it comes to having a family tree of your own.

Emotionally, family tree drawings evoke a sense of belonging and identity. They bring to life the stories of ancestors who came before. They offer a glimpse into their lives, struggles, triumphs, and cultural traditions. Seeing one's familial connections in a visual format can evoke a deep sense of pride and appreciation for the family's collective journey through time.

Family trees reveal patterns of inheritance, migrations, and shared experiences that contribute to shaping the family's identity. They represent ancestral relationships, making it easier to comprehend complex genealogical information.

Family trees also serve as invaluable tools for sharing stories. As elders recount anecdotes and memories tied to specific branches of the tree, younger members better understand their roots and heritage. This storytelling aspect enhances the emotional connection to ancestors. It also cultivates a sense of continuity and belonging across different generations.

This step-by-step demonstration will walk you through an approach to drawing a coniferous tree (Douglass Fir). The goal is not to copy this one tree but to lean techniques to deal with common drawing problems you will encounter while sketching pines, firs, and other coniferous trees. Try following these steps and examples and then go outside and draw coniferous trees in your neighborhood. Draw ten different trees to see how these techniques apply to the diversity of tree shapes you see. The best way to learn how to draw trees is to start drawing lots of trees.
