Editing existing/dependent cabal package

If I need to fix bugs in an existing cabal package (not mine!) used as a dependency of the package I'm authoring in Leksah, is there a way to open the source from the other package in order to make/test some provisional changes?  

I can't find such a feature, but it would be awesome if it existed!

Actually, I suppose I should ask how one would normally go about doing this, Leksah feature or no.

i think you can add the other package and then switch between the two.
i usually open a second instance of leksah (on linux/ubuntuu) and work
on the other package there.
if the package does compile and install (check that leksah says so),
then you just switch to the other leksah window and configure compile
and build there. (needs reconfiguring to update for the new version of
the package that you changed in the first window).
