I've created a collection in Lightroom Classic and was syncing it fine into my Portfolio website. Today, however, when I added new photos to the collection and clicked "Reset from Lightroom" in Portfolio, the reset process completed, but the new photos were not added to Portfolio, nor the changed order. It's as if Portfolio doesn't see any changes in the collection.

Reset from LR just worked for me. I edited a collection in LR Classic that was synced to LR and connected to Portfolio. The photos I removed in LR Classic were removed from Portfolio after hitting the "reset from LR" link.

I synced my Lightroom library to my MyPortfolio website yesterday and it worked fine. Today the desktop manager said I needed to upgrade to the NEW Lightroom, and now I can't sync anymore? Just says "Oops an error occurred, please try again later"

I don't use Lightroom for editing, I use Bridge to navigate and Camera Raw for global updates before bringing them into PS. I only used LR as an album organizer and because it syncs to my website via the Adobe MyPortfolio website builder. You add a photo to an album in LR and it appears in the gallery on your website. At least it used to.

I used LR CC, which apparently is now called LR Classic and the new LR CC is something different. When my sync didn't work, the desktop manager told me to update LRCC, which I did, and it changed to the new LR CC. This did not fix my problem, so I installed LR CC Classic, synced all of my LRCC albums to LR CC Classic, and it still doesn't work.

The CC Application Manager (in your screenshot) shows you have both the new so-called "Lightroom CC" and real Lightroom, "Lightroom Classic". These are separate programs. Lightroom CC has the rounded corner icon and is a new dumbed-down program that is cloud-dependent - it even uploads originals to Adobe's cloud. Lightroom Classic is the program that has been around for years and was previously LRCC2015.x.

I have already explained all of this. Adobe offers a service called MyPortfolio. It allows you to build a photographer's website including portfolio based off of the albums in your lightroom library. When you add a new album or image to LR, it "syncs" to your website. Except now that there are two LR programs, it doesn't work anymore.

OK, so you got the error in Adobe Portfolio. Remember, people don't recognise every error message, and the integration is only a few months old so not many LR users have enough experience of Portfolio to develop the kind of intuition that can help.

I have tried the integration before but haven't seen that message when I "reset" or refreshed it. It's an unhelpful, generic message but I wonder if that Portfolio integration is pointing to a collection/album that no longer exists, maybe because you recreated it.

I'm having the same problem, but I don't get an error message. It says it was successful, but the images I added to the LR collection are not present in Portfolio. Everything was working fine yesterday, but today, NOT!

Portfolio integration with LR Classic is definitely not working reliably. The first import works well, but any changes to the collection done in Lightroom Classic does not sync properly to Portfolio, even though Portfolio says that the "reset from LR" was succesful. Sometimes photos are not imported, sometimes not deleted and sometimes nothing changes. Collections sync fine from LR Classic to LR Web and LR CC, but changes do not sync correctly to Portfolio. I have to rebuild Portfolio sites every time by deleting the old site and importing again.

I've seen others have this problem but not a sure solution. The people AI mask would not recognize anyone on my desktop or laptop. All the other masks work great! In lightroom when I open the people mask the little wheel spins for just a sec like it's looking for faces then disappears with no faces found. However, if I try to use it in Camera Raw I get the "Unable to load AI selection model" error

The main suggestion I keep seeing was to update the driver in the graphics card. Which I did for both. It actually fixed the problem on my laptop although I never use it for editing only for on-location tethering, so not much help there. The desktop which actually has a, older, but better graphics card it did not resolve the issue, Is there anything else I should try?

That NVIDIA GeForce 730 GPU is old enough that if you turn on the use of graphics acceleration, your LrC may degrade in performance, may even fail. Often a piece of advice to members with a GPU that old would be to not use graphics acceleration.

AI masking, including People masking, works fine when there is no graphics processor. You can easily prove that on a Windows machine by disabling the GPU in the Windows device manager, or by running Windows in a virtual machine. AI masking runs roughly 4-5 times slower on a CPU than on a GPU.

Unfortunately, AI masking still uses the GPU even if you've set Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Off. That too is easy to demonstrate: AI masking runs the same speed regardless of the preference setting, and Task Manager's Performance tab shows it being used regardless of the setting.

To that end, in LrC, clicking on Help, then System Info, you could copy that info, and paste into a reply. Probably the info from first line down to and including plug-in info. Info after plugging-in not so helpful, just eats up space in a reply.

You did not include in your post the Library Path or the Settings folder, was that a desired omission, or did LrC fail to present that? If you just did not want to show that, Ok, only point in seeing that would typically to make sure that you are not placing your catalog on a network as opposed to an actual hard drive (no Network share, no NAS, no cloud, for the catalog)

People masking was working fine for me until last week. My Mac is near, with 72 GB RAM, a fast video processor with 16GB memory, and all of the other bells and whistles. Turning off the graphics processor didn't do anything, nor did installing an older version of LR, uninstalling it, and reinstalling it. NOTHING HAS WORKED! BUT THERE IS A WORKAROUND!!! I have found if I mask for the background, then duplicate and invert, it will mask just the person. Granted, there have been one or two images it would not work on, but the majority of the time it works!! Give it a shot! Hope this helps!

In all of my tests, a Background mask is exactly the same as a Subject mask inverted. So you could probably save some keystrokes simply by creating Subject masks. Subject masks often (but not always) select the same pixels as People masks with All People chosen.

Every since I upgarded to 1Tb storage from 20gb the cloud doesn't allow be to go past 20gb when uploading to the cloud even though my account says I now have 1TB I have installed, uninstalled, clear cache nothing works. The Specialist on the chat can't help I called customer service they just tried to repeat whatever steps they have me on chat they don't work they escalated my problem and I still have yet to get a call from Adobe.

In the left panel, do you see a group of photos identified as sync issues? If you are able to resolve these (figure out which device needs to finish syncing the photos, or just delete the photos if they can be uploaded again), does this unblock sync for you?

Having same problem. Wasted many hours with a half-dozen Adobe "first level" support folks. The last call was quite abrasive as I had great difficultly explaining to the rep that the problem is on their end! They will waste your time checking your local installation, checking you are logged out and logged in properly. Waste.

The first few reps explained to give it 24+ hours after upgrading storage for the new caps to be reflected everywhere (e.g. assets.adobe.com increased limit to propagate to lightroom.adobe.com). 48+ hours later still showing 100GB on lightroom.adobe and 1TB on assets.adobe.

My suspicion is that this is not a "bug". I think this is a result of conflicting licensing plans which engineers are stuck implementing, resulting in a broken solution. There are 2 ways to upgrade storage. Per Adobe documentation:

If you need more storage, you can purchase extra storage plans through your Adobe ID account (Plans > Manage Plan > Change Plan). For detailed instructions, see Upgrade your Creative Cloud storage.

If this is in fact by design, Adobe should be more transparent and make this clear so consumers can make informed decisions. For me, if I cannot economically share my 1TB with Lightroom CC, I won't use or instruct students on Lightroom CC; there are competing cloud based photo solutions.

How did you get in touch with someone higher up? I have this exact issue 2 years later from your post and I got sent from Lightroom Customer Service to Tech Customer Service to Billing Customer Service and now they are sending me back to tech?? I asked if there was someone higher up I could talk to and they refused and are saying it's my fault when I know it isn't and I don't want to get sent allllll the way back to the same people. Please help!!

Hi, i stumbled over this right now, dunno if you could solve your issue but what helped me was deleting just a few old images, once the cloud started updating, my storage option worked aswell.

Cheers

Hello FWeber, sorry for the slow response here. This doesn't sound right. Even if you purchased 1 TB of additional Creative Cloud storage and not the 1 TB Lightroom plan, I would still expect Lightroom should be able to utilise that Creative Cloud storage. Please contact Adobe Support directly, asking them why LR can't use the CC supplemental storage for your account. Contact options here: -contact-options.html
