Those who have been around since the days of the Yahoo! group may
appreciate following comment made on a WhatsApp group about Tanach
which often deals with leining. The question raised was what is the
proper nikkud for the word transliterated as mahpach. Aharon Gal
noted:
הרב מרדכי ברויאר ניקד בספרו "מַהְפָּךְ" ,
וויקס גרס "מְהֻפָּךְ"
אך ברוב הספרים ראיתי "מַהְפַּךְ"
מילון מרפיקס מפריד בין שתי המילים:
"מַהְפָּךְ" - מפנה חד.
(למי שזוכר: "רבותי, מהפך !")
לבין "מַהְפַּךְ" - מטעמי המקרא.
