I received a request

«Dear Rabbi Wolpoe

......

Question for you please. I've been asked to read Torah at an upcoming nephews Bar Mitzvah in November.

I've been assigned the 2nd aliya in Chaya Sarah....Do you know where I could get a recording of this trope? so I could study from it and learn it??
I learn a lot easier by sound....
I have a tikun..but a sound file would be fantastic!

Do you happen to know trope? and could you record your voice for this request and send to me as an attachment? Is this too much to ask of you?
Please let me know.
Many thanks,

Ploni»

Anyone who can provide us with online tutorials in leining?

There's always the old standby of bible.ort.org.   And then there's ellietorah.com.   And also www.beverlyhillschabad.com/torah-reading/TORAH-MENU.HTM.  I thought YU had one, too, but I can't seem to locate it.  I mentioned it once in this forum many years ago, complaining about the way the rabbi pronounced letters with a dagesh chazak (he stresses them), and he responded somewhat indignantly.

YUtorah.org has recordings of every parsha by r. jeremy wieder, himself a dikduk/leining baki. it is good for people who lein havara ashkenazis and take dikduk seriously.
Send
marshall,

he does indeed take dagesh hazal seriously, but i don't recall him ever being a member here? are you sure it was he who responded indignantly? (he did tell me that i need to work on my dagesh hazak, but in only after i asked him about it)

Someone forwarded my post to him, and he responded.  You do remember correctly that he is not a member of this group.
