After in-store radio programming took a six-year pause, it relaunched in 2016 in response to associate feedback. And it returned with a unique twist: We invited store associates to audition to become the new DJ! Submissions were so good that not one, but two associates won a spot behind the mic!

IN-PERSON OR ONLINE EXAMS
Find a ham radio exam session in your area or take the exam online. In-person and online tests are given regularly. Register with an ARRL VEC team for your exam and receive your license in 24 to 48 hours. Search for exam teams.
FCC APPLICATION FEES
The $35 application fee, in effect since April 19, 2022, applies to new, renewal, and modification applications requesting a new vanity call sign. The fee will be per application. Other types of application filings are exempt from the fees. Visit the FCC Application Fees page for detailed information and instructions.
ARRL Youth Licensing Grant Program
ARRL will cover the one-time $35 FCC application fee for new license candidates younger than 18-years old for tests administered under the auspices of the ARRL Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (ARRL VEC). The $35 FCC application fee will be reimbursed after the ARRL VEC receives the completed reimbursement form and the new license has been issued by the FCC. The reimbursement check will be mailed to the fee payer. Also, candidates younger than 18-years old would pay a reduced exam session fee of $5 to the ARRL VEC VE team at the time of the exam. Purdue men's basketball broadcasts can be heard free of charge on the Varsity Network App HERE.
Fans throughout the Midwest can follow Purdue men's basketball on the Purdue Sports Network, a division of Learfield and Purdue Sports Properties. The radio network consists of 27 stations, with WAZY (96.5 FM) in Lafayette serving as the flagship station.
Rob Blackman is in his fourth full season as the play-by-play voice of Purdue Basketball. This will be his 13th season on the Purdue Basketball broadcasts after serving as Larry Clisby's color commentator for nine seasons. In addition to his basketball duties, he serves as the producer and pregame/halftime/postgame anchor for Purdue football broadcasts. All told, this will be his 18th season with Purdue Athletics.
Bobby Riddell enters hisfourth season providing color commentary for the Purdue Basketball program. Riddell graduated from Purdue in 2009 having been part of three NCAA Tournament teams and a Big Ten Tournament championship in 2009. One of the most-beloved walk-ons in Purdue history, Riddell appeared in 83 career games during his time at Purdue, including 27 as a senior.
