great to hear that soundtoys Plugins work in 8.02, but i still do not see them in my Setup.
I updated to 8.02 from 8.01 (64Bit Version only on a Win7 64bit Computer).
The Soundtoys Pluins Little Radiator and Little Microshift are not on the List.
Radiator is a 32 Bit Plugin while Microshift is 64Bit.
I can work with them in Protools 10 on my Computer, so basically the Plugin Installation seems to be
without an error.
Both are licenced on an Ilok1, i downloaded and installed the latest Ilok Software.
Is there another hint i can get? Maybe i should install Wavelab 32 Bit Version as well?
thanks PG for the fast help,
it still is not showing up, strange. i can see Wavelab going through the List at Startup and i can read the Soundtoys
Folder. So its not ignored.
i am wondering where my mistake is. I installed Wavelab 8 as 64 Bit application only, is that correct?
Maybe i can erase my Settings file so Wavelab can start without deafults?
So far most of the plugins from other third parties have gone without a hitch (although I haven't yet tried UAD and a few others) but when it comes to Soundtoys 5, Logic suddenly deems them as 'incompatible', although whilst I can tick these off in the Plugin Manager and they seem to all work okay, I get a warning that tells me they could crash Logic and even lead to data loss.
If last year is used as the model the next big sale is probably BF/end of year with one off sales (individual plugins or lite versions) occasionally in between.
Also JRR Shop or other 3rd party vendors have one off sales from time to time.
Another option is having a look at Arturia's EQ Sitral 295. It is also a modern twist on vintage Sieman's EQs and has a similar quality of sounding good on just about anything. They list for same price, but Arturia seems to have sales more frequently, especially if you have purchased from them in the past.
I managed to get fx 4 for only $99 on recent sale. I owned about 3 fx from them that I had gotten free, but I think they gave me crossgrade pricing for owning v collection.I have too many compressors too, but at that price, it was worth it. Several of the effects have replaced go to options already. The EQ I spoke of is one of them. That EQ sounds absolutely "creamy" on everything. I have nothing else like it. Hopefully you find what you are looking for.
Seems like a few or so times a year. I'd suggest signing up for their mailing list and keep an eye out on Plugin Boutique and similar site. ..and of course check back here regularly. (aka stalk Larry)?
Hi, all. I just started working with Adobe Audition to mix a simple music project. Looking for some guitar effects, I stumbled onto a Plug-in by Soundtoys called Effects Rack. I'm kinda new to this, but it's my understanding that my MacBook Pro running MacOS Catalina is a 64 bit OS and that Audition runs VST plug-ins. Effects Rack is listed as a 64 bit VST plug-in, but Adobe Audition isn't listed as an "Offically Supported Host Applications." The supported applicatiosn look like high-end processing apps, like Pro Tools. So, ity looks like it should work with Audition, but it's an expensive product and I don't want to download it unless I can confirm it will work for me. Can anyone advise? I'd appreciate any insght.
The reason usually that Audition isn't listed with plugins like this is because it's generally not regarded as music composition software. That's actually quite correct; it's not its fort at all. But I can't see why this particular plugin wouldn't work - as long as it isn't a VSTi, then it should. But you can try it first, can't you? There appears to be a free trial...
Thanks for the input, Steve. Yeah, I realize Audition isn't the tool for high-end production, but I do mostly video and graphic design and I already have the Adobe Creative Suite, so that's what I have on hand at the moment. I'm doing some research to decide which DAW to purchase (recommendations accepted). With that in mind, I figured it wouldn't hurt to invest in a solid set of plug-ins that I could port to whatever DAW I end up purchasing. I used to work in professional NYC studios back in the 90s, so I'm not clueless, but we were using tape back then. I'm a little late to the digital game.
Anyway, I'm just playing with a simple mix (two guitars, one vox) and I'm looking for a nice sounding tremolo, delay, and reverb. The Soundtoys package looked pretty sweet, so maybe I'll check out the trial. If anyone has better suggestions (for VSTs or DAWs), I'm open to suggestions.
Soundtoys offer 25 different plugins. These range from distortion, voice modulation, phasing, granular delay, and much more. It can seem overwhelming, so where should you start?
What follows is my personal list of favorite Soundtoys plugins. This list is (obviously) personal, and is based on those I have used the most. This is not to say the other Soundtoys plugins are not worth your time ?
