"For many years in NYC I've been leaving my Village home and
neighborhood to go sing, play, or hear music somewhere else. My son
is growing up here, becoming a musician, and starting to leave the
neighborhood also, to play here and there around town. Then I come
home and think to myself, 'how come nobody comes here to play for me
and my neighbors?' All musicians play at home, but it's not often
they play for the folks in their own neighborhood, it seems..."
