The SIPS library is one of the hallmarks of the school. Stephens School The library houses a wide variety of books and journals. It serves as a storehouse of information related to prescribed textbooks and beyond.
Its purpose is to inculcate reading habit amongst students. Renowned works of fiction, classics, self-help books, science and technology periodicals, journals related to history, culture, exploration along with selected local and national dailies are housed here.
All activities in the library are carefully scanned and selected to ensure the correct development of the students. Fresh stock is added from time to time.
The Phonetic Lab was established in the year 2015. The Phonetic Lab is an audio and Audio -Visual installation used as an aid in modem English Language Teaching.
The teacher console is usually fitted with master playback source equipment, some means of monitoring of each booth in the class via teacher headset and an intercom facility offering 2-way communication between teacher and student.
Language lab is installed in the school with a motive to make students speak English in a better way. Pronunciation of each word is taken care of. The facility of language lab allows students to listen to the difficult words again and again thereby improving their communication skills. As English is a global language we want to groom students and make them face the world with confidence.
Physical education is given as much importance as academics. Pupils are provided ample opportunities to play a wide variety of games such as basketball, volleyball. The school has yoga and martial arts training too.
School provides transport facilities to all the students from Nursery to Class XII. The transport system is hassle-free and convenient. We provide Safe and Comfortable transport that ensures more space for smaller children. This ensures comfortable, trouble-free travel and timely pickup cum drop. School transport is available at a nominal charge.
We have a full-fledged, 24x7 security system in place on the school campus. The main entrance gate to the school and the entire periphery of the campus are manned round-the-clock by well trained security guards.
This includes counselling, rehabilitation (speech or physical therapy), surgical interventions, mobility aids, provisions for assistive equipment, honing intellectual & confidence-building skills, and more. Our Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) instructors play the role of facilitators, assisting teachers for the best outcomes.
We work closely with teachers and students, offering resources, infrastructure assistance, teaching strategies, and curriculum customisation for children with disabilities. A key focus is also providing building capacities of educators, staff, fellow students, parents, and siblings.
Established in 1973, Shradhanjali Integrated School (SIS) is a primary school on the APD campus in Bangalore, with 300+ Children up to Class VIII. Accredited by the SSLC Board, our inclusive school maintains an 80:20 ratio of children with impairments and non-disabled students.
SIS builds on our goals for holistic development, with a focus on sports, arts, crafts, and activity-based learning. Customised with technology-based tools, every classroom has a smart board powered by Tata Edge, along with audio-visual equipment for better learning.
The school also provides amenities like midday meals, books, uniforms, healthcare, rehabilitation, transportation, and adaptive learning methodologies to students from low-income households to enhance their academic input.
Since 2012, we have been collaborating with the Education Department, the parent community, and school management committees, to create model schools across South India. Currently, we have 35 Model Schools in the Karnataka districts of Bangalore, Vijayapura, and Davangere, educating over 400 children. Through our Resource Support to Organisations (RSO) Partnerships, we are creating more model schools to assist more children with disabilities, having reached over 1500 students so far.
We guide and instruct children with hearing disability via sign language and audio-visual technologies. The courses include core subjects like Maths and Science, and additional weekly support is provided on building their communication skills.
We ensure children with Cerebral Palsy attend normal classrooms while receiving an additional 8 to 10 hours of support each week. We assist them with speech, communication, professional, and functional abilities as well.
Modern Technology has paved the way for multi-functional devices. Computers are technically upgrading faster and more portable and it also make our lives easy & smart. Keeping these points in mind, our school has taken initiative to install more systems in the year 2020. For that, new technology Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) Systems were installed which would be the future of classroom teaching, which empower teachers and also inspires students to learn more, share their knowledge and interact with others.
Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) is significantly different from interactive whiteboard & projectors that were previously used in 2013. The screen quality of IFP has 4K ultra high definition and presents clear and clean image without light reflection, various built in software, like interactivity Touchscreen.
