Hello,

My colleagues and I, at the Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach, are investigating the interaction between a range of digital professional development options, and teaching and teacher attitudes. We are investigating how professional development can help teachers support student engagement, joy, and overall impact on children’s learning. 

We hope that you will be interested in participating.

For your time, we are offering compensation of up to $500 when you have completed the study tasks outlined below. 

For this study, participants will:
  • take part in a self-paced, asynchronous, virtual, online professional development series (PDS) which will take approximately twelve hours to complete
  • video record between two to ten classroom STEM lesson(s)
  • complete an observation log for each STEM lesson
  • take a pre- and post observation survey
  • participate in a pre- and post observation interviews
  • obtain a letter from a school administrator giving permission for audio and video recording (a template will be provided)
