Hi all,

We've got quite a bit of Legion and/or cuNumeric related content planned for SC this year, and multiple team members will be at the conference. This is the first year we have done a Legion tutorial for quite some time! And we've got multiple other talks planned.

As usual, let me know if you want to meet to discuss Legion, Realm, applications, libraries, etc. One notable update this year is that we have multiple members from the cuNumeric team available as well. So if any of that interests you, please contact me and I'll try to set up a meeting with the relevant team members.

Thanks and looking forward to seeing you all at SC24!

Survey of Technologies for Developers of Parallel Applications — Task-Based and Scale-Free Computing

Seamlessly scale your python program from single CPU core to multi-GPU multi-node HPC cluster with cuNumeric
Monday, 18 November 2024
4:04pm - 4:21pm EST

Note: I believe this workshop will also feature a talk on SLAC use cases for cuNumeric, but the talk is not yet on the schedule. You may want to keep your eyes on the schedule and/or just attend the rest of the workshop.

In addition to this, there will be presentations at the NVIDIA in the exhibitor hall. Bo Dong will be presenting on cuNumeric on November 21 at 10:30am. I understand there will also be a special address on November 18 at 10:30am. The schedule is not fully up to date yet, but I believe you will find these events here (once updated):

Again, let me know if you want to meet with anyone on the team during the conference, and I'll do my best to arrange it.

Hi again,

There's actually one more Legion paper at SC'24 this year which I missed in the previous email. This one is about fast and scalable quantum circuit simulation on GPUs, and uses Legion via FlexFlow in the implementation.

Atlas: Hierarchical Partitioning for Quantum Circuit Simulation on GPUs

Sounds cool!
