legato-rman backup problem

hi;

for a while i have a problem in legato. on a client oracle 9i is running. and  at night, i am backing up to disk with rman, and in the morning getting backup pieces to tape by using nsrnmo. but when backup is started from legato, it writes all backup pieces but not writes the index. and backup never  ends. so i can't see green exclamation :) but when i start it from client with rman, it finishes correctly. thanks for now..

hrmm,  ususally when i see this problem it's with the pool selection criteria.  in the pool you are using for your rman group, do you have any backup levels selected?  if you don't allow level "9" backups, your index backups will not be able to write to that pool. You might also have some other selection critera set that allows your RMAN backups, but dosen't allow your index backups.  Unless you really need to, i generally recommend against using selection criteria.
