LEGAL AID SOCIETY

Dear Friends,
We are very glad that a large number of students have come forward to participate in the activities of Legal Aid Society. In this society there is no question of selecting or rejecting anybody. Every one of you has a storehouse of energy and new ideas. If these ideas and energy is combined you can produce wonderful results. We provide a platform for such an amalgamation of your energies and channelization of your ideas.
However, for the purposes of organization and focus we have divided the activities of the Society into seventeen groups. These groups represent your ideas where your activities could focus. These groups are not intended to be fixed and we could definitely increase or decrease them as per the requirement.
We have chosen two volunteers to coordinate each group; one from II year/III year and the other from I year. These coordinators have been chosen to organize and facilitate the groups and are not necessarily the leaders or hierarchically superior. We believe that leadership must emerge from within the group based on the contribution of an individual.
The first task for all those who had given their names for legal aid society is to join any of these groups and for that you should send an email indicating your choice to clc.legal...@gmail.com by Tuesday, 23rd August 2011. It is possible for one individual to be a part of more than one group; it all depends on your interest and the time available with you. But for formal requirement we suggest that you give your name only for one group, while informally you will be free to participate in any activity of the Society.
In the meantime be ready with your ideas too!
