SPEAKERS: DUNU ROY and his team from Hazards Centre (Shabnam, Zahir, Mukesh and Basab) Dunu Roy and others at Hazards Centre have been working on the issue of rights of slum-dwellers and the various government policies that seek to evict and resettle them. They challenge the dominant judicial and administrative mindsets which try to make Delhi a “world-class city” by excluding the urban poor. While sharing their experiences with us, the team from Hazards Centre will also offer law students opportunities to volunteer on these projects and gain legal expertise around these issues. |
