LegacyCd Release
Cinco De Mayo
555
05-05-2005

So I have been gone so long my subscription has run out. At least I
finally finished version 1.0 of the LegacyCd. GO ME.

If you don't know what the LegacyCd is check out the information <a
href="http://www.richshumaker.com/?blast=LegacyCD">here</a>

This LegacyCd is all about Contact Juggling. If you want to get a copy
you can get it mailed by the Bob Hughes Company <a
href="http://www.BobHughesCompany.com">BHC</a>. Or you can get one
directly from me. I will be at the Turks Head Jugglers on Thursday in
West Chester. At work during the day on friday in K.S. at the ACME and
also at work on Saturday.
Later this month I will be at the PA yo yo competition.

I hope everyone has a great day. I know I can finally sleep.

Fantastic! I want one. :)

But, in this age of the internet, is it possible to put up an ISO?
Perhaps we can get a bittorrent going. I know I'm more than happy to
leave a seed running for a few months. I can set it up, if you want (I
just need the file).

I have thought about this.
It is a large ISO and I don't want it broken into parts.
So the answer is maybe.

Lets keep this thread going.
What questions do I need to answer besides size?

Well, actually... I wouldn't say that size is much of an issue. It
sounds like you're unfamiliar with Bittorrent, so I'll give you the
introduction URL (it's got some nice diagrams, and a good explanation):
http://www.bittorrent.com/introduction.html

Basically, bittorrent allows someone to share files without having to
have tons of bandwidth.

This is a system that's used to share tons of different files, such as
entire linux distributions, game patches, and others.

All we'd have to do is create a torrent file, leave bittorrent running
on a machine to get the ball rolling (pun not intended), and pass around
the URL for the torrent file. As I mentioned, I can set this up (and
keep it running) for the Legacy Project, as soon as I have a copy of the
ISO.

Having issues making the iso.
I have used BitTorrent before.
So I will email you in the next few days if I work out the ISO issue I
am having.

I should have been less curt.
I have used bit torrent a bit.
I know it can handle really large files.
I just thought that the more seeds the easier it would be for
downloads.
And I don't know how many people will seed such a large file on such an
obsure topic.

Here is my bit torrent page at my web site.

If you would like to seed "My First Lesson" please do.

I am still having this weird bloating happening on my LegacyCd.
The compilation is 630ish mb.
BUT when I try to create an ISO by copying the CD it bloats to 730+MB
and thus can not be burned on a 700mb cd.
It is very weird.
Also to create an ISO from Nero I have to ruin the added HTML stuff.
The file names truncate.
Anyway hope all is well. And I hope I figure this out soon.

Anyone out there have any help or places I can check for help to make
this ISO thing happen.

Ah, ok. No offense was taken. I can seed the file on at least two
networks, and I can probably convince at least one juggling friend to do
the same.

Cool, I will do that. I've watched that video, and it helped me out a
lot when I was starting... but I forgot that it had a torrent.

Hmm... never experienced this myself. I'll do a bit of poking around,
but instead of iso, you could also use bin/cue format. Most decent CD
burning programs support bin format.
