Hi All,

If you missed our first topsoil distribution, no worries, East New York Farms! is having another one this Saturday, Sept 14 from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. We are distributing clean soil from Clean Soil Bank and constructed top soil (a blend of clean soil and DSNY compost) as part of our East New York Healthy Soils Initiative, at Wortman Avenue Community Garden. Each person can get 5 bags of constructed top soil (or 5 bags of clean soil if that runs out). If you are looking to get larger amounts, you can bring your own containers or bags and are welcome to get more after we have finished serving everyone who has lined up. The garden entrance is across from 987 Lincoln Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208. Feel free to share with others. RSVP is not required. Soil distribution will be first come, first served. Contact me if you have any questions.   The flyer is attached.

Best,
Anita

Hello Legacy Lead,

On timely and related topic, check out the new Civil Eats cover story about this distribution network, and related efforts! https://civileats.com

I hope everyone can go out and get some of this soil!

All the best,

Perl

Thanks. I will share with New Orleans to try to encourage our new mayor with action.
