This is the last week of summer for most! Social media is buzzing with students sharing last minute summer stories and Instagram photos, commenting on needing to complete summer reports and reading assignments, talking about school year activities like band, football, and cheerleading, and holding on to this one last week of "freedom". All too soon the summer break is over. I can see it already in our students, many are finding themselves overbooked and busy as ever and the school year doesn't officially begin until next Monday for most.
But guess what.....?
This Wednesday night will be our annual special night of prayer for our students, their teachers, administrators, friends, activities, and schools. We will be meeting at the youth center at 7PM which is the normal time. At 7P we will walk to Birdville High School. There our students will break into groups and will spend time in prayer. Parents are welcome to join us. We will be praying for all of our students and schools not just Birdville HS, but as convenience of location BHS will represent all our schools as we pray together. Please make every effort to be a little early on Wednesday as we want plenty of time to walk and pray together.

Back to School Swim Party!
Friday, August 22nd at 6:30P all of our High School Students are invited to the Trader's home for dinner and a swim! You will need to provide your own transportation to/from the Trader's. They will provide dinner, drinks, and snacks. The cost is only $3. Chandler & Cole Trader's address is: 2701 Derby Court, Southlake, TX 76092 A sign up sheet will be in the youth center).
Back to School Bash!
Sunday, August 24th at 4:30PM. All students and families are encouraged to join up at Legacy as we kick the school year off together. There will be games for all ages, a devotional and worship time, and more. All you need to bring: A - M bring a fruit or veggie to share, N - Z bring cookies or brownies.
