Didn't quite realize solidarity was in such a state, thought they might have a bit of presence in nyc. In the UK their sister org is much the same - I was attracted to Socialist Resistance because of their ideas, but realized in practice that the avg age in the organization is 50+, combined with its microscopic size and the fact that its active members are dissolved in any number of campaigns - its a barely functional organization.
Interesting though in that it opens up expansion opportunities for NS, alongside the invite to Chicago (anyone attending?) it seems like there may be a basis for more formal cooperation/leveraging mutual resources. In the UK SR/ISN are looking to fuse within the year.
