Left Swingers Week 1 Recap/Week 2 Details

Team! What an opening week we had!
The Left Swingers capped off the season opener with a resounding 24-5 victory over last season's #15 seed, Moderately Sober. The bats were quiet in the first three innings finding us down 4-2 but we roared back with 22 unanswered runs in the 4th and 5th innings.
This week we are playing the North State Flood, last season's #19 seed on Thursday at 630pm. Game location is TBD on the availability of a true field permit but otherwise we will be back at the Anacostia River Fields as we often are. I will update everyone prior to Thursday.
Note: The Kick-Off Party hosted by the league will be Thursday as well - Union Pub starting at 730pm. We will celebrate our W there with food and drink!
"Good morning, Coaches. Apologies for the relatively short notice, but in case you hadn't checked the website, we'll be hosting our annual Kick-Off Party next Thursday, May 8th, at Union Pub starting at 7:30PM. We have the patio reserved, and as usual, we'll have food and drinks available."

Hi all! Still not 100% back from ACL surgery but PT says I can hit and field as long as I don't have to run to the ball/pivot LOL. Limited value but planning to come out and hang! If anyone is driving to anacostia games from near the Shaw/MVT/NoMa area let me know for carpooling.
