CANCELLED SESSION ON WED 18TH SEP
Sorry but due to staffing issues there will be no session next week.
There will be a session on campus on the Thursday the 19th sep, 12-2pm
We will be back the following Wednesday at Bardon Grange

Sustainable Garden Opening (Campus garden) Thurs 3rd October
Please come along to the official opening of the new campus garden, which is in Chancellor's Court, alongside the Roger Stevens building. The day will run from 10am til 3pm, with a farmers market and lots of stalls and activities including seed sowing, beehives, making insect homes, bike powered smoothie makers and food samples based on produce from the garden. Dennis Hopper will be officially opening the garden between 12-1pm.

The garden has a mini forest garden, an edible hedge, annual vegetables, salad and herbs, and wildflower meadows, as well as a lawn area and benches for people to relax on. Being right in the centre of campus, this space is open to all, and jthe idea is that people can come and pick the produce when they want. Bardon Grange are managing the edible areas of it, and are sessions there for students, staff and local people every Thursday 12-2pm.

Mushroom Evening, Wed 9th October
Leedes University Union are hosting the monthly Leeds Permaculture Network socials, which in October will be all about edible fungi. Come along to the common room (ground floor of the Union) from 6-7pm for food to share, and then 7-9pm for the talk, with plenty of time for questions and discussion. See the website http://www.leedspermaculturenetwork.org/node/5
