Fwd: Fwd: FREE Peace Studies course for community activists

Hey folks, this looks interesting...

Subject: FREE Peace Studies course for community activists

Hi, the ICPS (International Centre for Participation Studies) Peace Studies
has a FREE course for Comm-UNI-ty activists who are' interested in change
but struggling with power', called 'Comm-UNI-ty'.

It isn't a traditional University course - it includes a residential (13-15
Sept 2013), 6 evening discussions (Sept-Nov 2013), a field trip (Sept-Nov
2013) to somewhere like London Citizens and a creative workshop with an act
of communication around Feb 2014.

There is no written work and so no formal accreditation. Participants don't
have to have any formal qualifications and there is a real mix of people
already signed up from experienced political activists to people wanting a
community garden.

The only requirement is a passion for change and an interest in power along
with a commitment to a simple act of communication (with mentoring support).

We have a few places left on the residential, which takes place soon. Could
you please have a think if you know someone who might be interested and let
them know. I really don't want people to miss out.

People can apply by completing the attached application form ASAP and/or
give me a call for more info this week (off camping etc from Friday for a
week!) on 07791905810. More info is also attached.

Warmest wishes & thanks for your help!

Lisa
