Metal Lathe Induction

Hi, 

Please could I get an induction on the metal lathe? I have zero experience and I'm available on :

Saturday all day

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday after 4pm

Thursday after 6pm.

Hi, I would also love to get involved with this, if possible. I know the wheelchair can complicate things so I'm also more than willing to wait and have a session by myself if needed.

I am available Mon-Thurs evenings, Friday morning and evening and the week-ends. Away from July 25-Aug 3.

A little experience but many years ago. Best assume no experience.

Hi Katie, Tuesday 29th at 5pm?

Sadaqat- you mentioned writing some instructions - do you have experience with using lathes already?

For everyone else I've so far been running these only on a one to one basis.  Once I'm back in practice I'll look again if it's practical/ sensible to expand and induction more than one person at once.

Hi Joe, haven't seen you in a while.

I have used a manual lathe but a long time ago. I work with CNC and manual laths and milling machines at work as a mechanical design engineer.

I have experience in writing instructions/manuals;  creating technical training material and tests. :p Just want to make the process of onboarding people a little faster or easier.

I can be at workshop on the 29th July Tuesday training,  5:30pm earliest for documentation if you don't mind. It would make the next induction a lot easier for everyone and yourself.

Hello!

I've just done my hackspace induction and was wondering if I could get an induction on the metal lathe, I have received training on metal lathes previously at uni and am also in possession of a little watchmakers lathe. I would still say my experience is limited but thought these would provide some context!

I am busy 3rd to the 5th but apart from that I am completely free until the 11th (Incl. Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings etc.)

I see there is a bit of a queue so just let me know when works best :)
