CAD experience

Hello, 

I'm wanting to learn to use CAD for a few projects (first on the list is designing a deck in a slightly awkward place in my garden) but I can't get going with the software.  Is there anyone at the Hackspace who can help with this?  I'd be happy to pay for their time if they can sit and point over my shoulder telling me where to click and why whatever is broken is broken...

Hi Chris,

I can't see it anywhere so just wanted to check my reply came through.  I've been in product development for 20 years.  I've used Solidworks since the early days at University but it's pretty inaccessibly from a cost point of view so personally I use Fusion and it's pretty intuitive and has a free tier.  Happy to jump on a teams call where you share your screen or send and receive files if you would rather.
