Clarke Milling Machine Out of Action

Hi All,

we are having to take the Clarke Milling Machine out of action for H&S reasons. Before it can be used again it needs the rolling base and stand repairing/replacing/improving. We had a near miss trying to move it during the workshop leak and the rolling base failed and the stand lost stability. Hopefully one of the members inducted on this machine will take on this project and modify the stand and make structual improvements to the rolling base to be able to handle the weight of the machine, stand and accessories.

If you want to take on this project (preferrably inducted on machine) let us know here and the work will need signing off on completion.

For Safety, we have taken the Mill off the stand/rolling base and it is now situated on the bench next to the pillar drill.
the plan is for it to live there until the new year when we will then do some work on that area of the Workshop and find it a permanent home.
