Hiya-Hackers - it's been a while!!
I'm planning to build a "big" (reasonably large) battery.
It'll have a little metal house, with temperature regulation and fire suppression, and live in my garage at the end of the garden.
I will feed it electrons at night, but steal them away during the day, unless I add roof squares for the sun pixies to top things up!
BMS - Inverter - DNO - Gateway - Monitoring, (after housing) all seems fairly well bounded - there's just one big purchase that I thought maybe someone here might have some past experience of, or at a minimum, there will be a choir of opinions regarding chemistry, import duty, cell configuration, OTC products etc etc - which will always make for a good read.
So have at it my fellow tinkereers: WHAT'S THE LOWEST COST WAY TO GET 16 or 32x, REAL GRADE A, 280Ah or higher, LiFePo4 cells?
So far I've found 16x for £1k and 32x £2k - but it's eBay, and frankly could be any old $heee!t - AliExpress is even worse...
GEORGE
PS: If anyone wants to get involved, have a snoop dog at the end result when done, chat, etc, I'm in Otley - you're welcome any time.
