Hi,

I want to make a coffee table out of hardwood. I got the design out of a joinery book from the library.
If i can order the batch of rough-sawn hardwood from a wood merchant, would I be able to bring it onsite to plane/cut it?
(i assume yoiu have a joiner-planer and table saw I could use?

I havent used these tools previously but i'm sure I could pick it up quickly if someone could give me a bit of direction

Thanks

Hi Paul,

That's very much the sort of thing we do here! We do have a system for membership and inductions for some of our tools though. To use the planer and tablesaw or bandsaw you would need to:
  1. Become a member
  2. Do an induction for the planer
  3. Do an induction for the bandsaw or tablesaw
If you'd like to come and see the space, talk to some members, and talk through logistics, we have an open evening every Tuesday (7pm to 10pm) and an open day every second Saturday of the month (12pm to 4pm)
