We’d love your help with something a little unusual.
We're looking for volunteers to help dismantle around 30 unwanted pianos and transform them into five beautiful Piano Sheds that will live on in Leeds communities, long after the 2027 Piano Trail Festival ends in September next year. We'll begin with piano dismantling workshops this autumn at Besbrode Pianos in Holbeck, before moving on to building the sheds themselves in early 2027 - led by Festival Artist in Resonance Dora Goldsbrough and Pianodrome CIC.
We're keen to hear from woodworkers, makers, DIY enthusiasts, gardeners, craftspeople and anyone who enjoys learning practical skills and working on creative community projects. No specialist experience is required and I've attached a short flyer which explains the project in more detail. People can register their interest here
If you know people who you think might enjoy getting involved, we'd be hugely grateful if you could share this email and/or flyer with them - through your networks, or by posting on any relevant noticeboards, newsletters or social media groups.
Thank you for helping us spread the word!
