Hi All,

At last month's Raspberry Jam we talked about trying have some sort of a plan of attack for next time, so I thought it was worth trying to work something out.

I've managed to rope a couple of the guys I work with into bringing along their Pi projects (a Mame setup, and a Pi-controlled RC car) to talk about/demo.  So, I was planning to start with some sort of brief 'welcome' talk, that depending on the number of new people that turn up may include a basic introduction to the Pi.  After that, I was going to hand over to each of these guys in turn to give a brief description of what their projects involve and provide a short demo.  Then everyone is free to wander around and have a look at the projects, or have a play with the Pis, etc.

I think we talked last time about having a couple of 'demo stations' set up too, so that people who don't have a Pi can have a play and see what the fuss is about.  So far we have a couple of spare Pis between us, so I was thinking of running Raspbian one one with XBMC on the other.

Again, in the interests of being a little more prepared, we'd like to turn up sometime around 11:30 so that we have time to set up.  Will that be OK with you guys?  Also, would any members be interested in demoing Pi-based projects that they've produced, or providing some Pis for demo purposes?  Any monitors/keyboards/etc. that could be provided would be good too.  I think between the three of us we can produce 3 Pi-compatible monitors, but if we're looking to run demo stations, etc. more would be better.

Thanks,
Gareth.

Looks like I'm going to miss the Jam until next month (I hope it keeps going)  -Horrible clash with the Wakefield RiscOS show.

Hope you all have fun with Pi :)
