Hi All
Unfortunately the mice are really trying to set up shop in the Hackspace, especially the Kitchen. To this end I've done a deep clean of the counter top and as much as possible we need to keep this area clear of stuff the mice like, water, food, dirty cutlery, utensils, China, glassware and cookware. We have also introduced some humane traps that will need checking everyday. The Tuck-shop has had an upgrade .
What you can do to help;
  1. Tidy up after yourself.
  2. Don't leave food out on the counter or anywhere else accessible to mice.
  3. Wipe surfaces down when you have finished.
  4. Wash, dry and put away all cutlery, utensils, china, glassware & cookware after use. Basically nothing should be left on the drainer/counter when you leave.
  5. Help us regularly check the traps and let us know if a mouse needs rehoming. They all have clear tops so its easy to see if they have any visitors.

Traps are located in areas where there are signs of activity;
  • Behind the microwave.
  • Between the fridge and cupboard.
  • In alcove where a dishwasher should be.

The Tuck-shop has all new clear boxes to store the sweeties in so please make sure your closing the lid's after you've grabbed your treat. I will also endeavour to restock the Tuck-shop now everything has a mouse resistant home.

Regards Mark

Mouse update
There’s been another couple of sightings today. There are 2 new traps at either end of the electronic benches. All the traps have been cleaned and re baited with peanut butter. Let’s hope the mice will like that better than the previous bait

Kind Regards Mark
