Hello,

My laptop is an old Dell laptop that was generously donated to me by a charity.

This device operates on an Ubuntu/Linux system. I wish to alter the operating system to download WordPress.org for my website. Unfortunately, the existing Linux system on my laptop has been unsuccessful in downloading this application, as well as several essential programs, including a VPN, screen dimmer, photo editor, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and others.

Having previously worked with both Windows and Mac operating systems, I find Linux to be the most constrained system I have encountered. Over the past few months, it has become clear to me that the only viable solution is to change the operating system.

The charity that provided the laptop advised me to reach out to Citizens Online for assistance with this matter, and I have also utilized goodthingsfoundation.org to locate digital inclusion centres. Both resources indicated that the library offers digital support. The library subsequently recommended that I get in touch with Leeds Hack Space.

Could you assist me in changing the operating system?
