Vegas LEED Study Group--Update and Assignment

Hi all,

We met again on Thursday at 5:30 PM at Stephanos, located at 4632
South Maryland, in the shopping center across from the UNLV Student
Union Building. We have organized a LEED Green Associate Study Group
and then likely follow up with a LEED for Commercial Interiors Study
Group. Please note that several hours of self study (such as
participation in this study group) can count toward your Credential
Maintenance requirements if you are already a Legacy LEED AP. If you
know anyone that is interested in participating in a LEED Study Group,
please forward this e-mail to them accordingly.

Please note that participation in this study group is free of cost,
other than purchase of your own study materials.

The reading assignment for this week is to read pages 106 through 155
in the LEED Green Associate Study Guide noted below in item number
1). We will be meeting again at the same time and place on next
Wednesday.

advantage of the available study resources and other opportunities of
LEED study group activity related to the local USGBC chapter LEED

Going to the local monthly USGBC Chapter meetings can be very helpful
toward gaining knowledge about sustainable design and construction
practices. These meetings are held at Cili Restaurant at the Bali Hai
Golf Club, located at 5160 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV. The
new venue is centrally located in the valley with easy access from the
I-15 freeway. Meetings typically occur the first Tuesday of each month
at 7:00 AM and last until approximately 9:00 AM. They include a
continental breakfast and coffee. Check the calendar meeting schedule
on the above web site and RSVP ahead to reduce your participation
cost.
