We met for the first time on Wednesday, March 24th at 5:30 PM at
Stephanos, located at 4632 South Maryland, in the shopping center
across from the UNLV Student Union Building. Please note that this
study group is free of cost other than purchase of your own study
materials. We are beginning with studies necessary to become a LEED
Green Associate. The plan is to then continue with studies necessary
to become a LEED Accredited Professional on LEED for Homes. Please
note that several hours of self study (such as participation in this
study group) can count toward your Credential Maintenance requirements
if you are already a Legacy LEED AP. If you know anyone that is
interested in participating in a LEED Study Group, please forward this
e-mail to them accordingly. We will be meeting again on Wednesday of
next week at the same time and location.
At this first study group meeting, we discussed the process to become
a LEED Green Associate and a LEED Accredited Professional. We reviewed
information available in the LEED Green Associate Candidate Handbook
as follows:
See the LEED Green Associate Candidate Handbook at:

The assignment for the next meeting will be to read the first 53 pages
of the LEED Green Associate Study Guide by the Green Building
Education Services [Item Number 1) below] for continued discussion at
the meeting.
