Query/filter by amount?

I know you can use --limit to specify greater than or less than an amount, e.g. 

--limit '(amount>0)'

But that doesn't seem to work for equals. I think there must be a way. I looked cursorily through the docs, but lots of matches on the words I want to search on.

It works but you also have to specify the commodity, e.g.
reg -l "amount == 500 ZAR"
