Hi,

If I want to calculate state sales tax due on out-of-state purchases
automatically,
would the recommended way be to use Automated Transactions and match
on
some sub account name that lets me identify the non-local-state
business?

E.g., would this be reasonable:

= /:Amazon$/
(Liabilities:Tax:CA) -0.0925

2010/12/10 Minimal Expectations - Dicky Charles
Expenses:eBook:Amazon $9.99
Liabilities:AT&T Universal MasterCard

2010/12/10 Vase
Expenses:Gifts:Amazon $57.82
Liabilities:AT&T Universal MasterCard

Or is there some other syntax that would be considered a better fit
for
this purpose?

This is the only automated way of doing it that I'm aware of.
