Suggestions for lector

Hello,

I like lector and I found it very usefull and I have some suggestions
for it (I saw some activity on in source tress so I hope development
will continue).

1. Can you make configuration/references for lector? I believe
choosing of scanner belong to this dialogue and not to start-up point.
Also there is tesseract 3, so it would be good if user can select
which ocr engine he would like to use (it has another language data as
tesseract 2).

2. Can you change lector that way, that scanner is optional feature? I
use lector without scanner so I must comment respective code. Also I
need to lector on windows and sane is not available there. Maybe than
somebody will write support for windows twain ;-)

Hi,

please find patch (made by 'svn diff ') that solve issues regarding correct detecting of tesseract language file (now it does not matter if you are using tesseract 3.0 or  tesseract 2.0x), loading of translation and some translation...

Next I will try to fix some sane issues (e.g. If my scanner is not runnig and I press "OK" , than lector close with error:

    window = Window()
  File "./lector.py", line 114, in __init__
    self.selectedScanner = sane.get_devices()[idx][0]
IndexError: list index out of range

Hi,

here is improved version of patch that works also on Windows (with tesseract 3.0 installer). I already have other patched related to Windows mostly. Where/how can I submit them?
