DescriptionSome devices with quad channel microphone (like HP Elitebook) have audio redirection issues with Teams on 2105 and above. To fix these issues, a registry key needed to be added manually -[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Citrix\HDXMediaStream] "DisableADM2"=dword:1. The attached .reg file can be executed on impacted devices to automatically add the same registry key and hence fix the issue.

The Product Matrix table below provides information for Citrix products whose product lifecycle is governed by lifecycle phases. Product lifecycle milestones include Notice of Status Change (NSC), End of Sale (EOS), End of Maintenance (EOM) and End of Life (EOL).

The Product Matrix table below lists the lifecycle dates that have been announced for Citrix products and product versions that have not yet reached the end of their lifecycle. For products with no planned EOS date (shown as N/A), customers should expect that either a newer release will be available or the EOM and EOL dates will be extended. After the EOS date, products are considered legacy and after the EOL date, product versions are considered legacy. For information on supporting products/components that are not independently available for sale, refer to the Non-Sale Products page. For information on legacy products and product versions, refer to the Legacy Product Matrix.

Citrix Perpetual Software Maintenance is a category of Citrix Customer Success offerings, purchased separately from Citrix Perpetual licenses, which may include the following support and maintenance capabilities:

Citrix DaaS as a standalone product can no longer be renewed or expanded. Citrix DaaS is now included in Citrix Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud and Citrix Platform License subscriptions. View the feature matrix here.

Citrix Secure Internet Access (CSIA) is a cloud-delivered service that provides secure access to web and SaaS applications, globally. It provides a complete stack of security capabilities, such as Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Access Security Broker, Malware Protection with Sandboxing, Intrusion Prevention and Detection Systems, and Data Loss Prevention.

When available, Citrix provides updates and maintenance releases only to Citrix customers. Citrix provides full support, including, when available, bug fixes, only for versions released in the twelve months before the then current release. If a bug is fixed in a subsequent release, the customer may be required to upgrade to the new release.

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops standalone can no longer be renewed or expanded. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is now included in the Citrix for Private Cloud, Citrix Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud, and Citrix Platform License subscriptions. View the feature matrix here.

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service is a cloud-hosted solution that receives fixes and updates on an ongoing basis; therefore, the services remain in support if the following criteria are met:

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service supports resource locations (application and desktop workloads) in on-premises datacenters, public clouds or a hybrid of both. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service deployments can utilize Current Release (CR) or Long Term Service Release (LTSR) components in conjunction with the cloud-hosted service. Refer to the LTSR FAQ for different deployment options.

Citrix applies the following product lifecycle strategy to Current Releases (CR) of Citrix Files app on all platforms (Windows/MAC/Outlook and Gmail): Current Releases (N) will typically reach End of Maintenance (EOM) after the release of new Current Release (N+1). Desktop versions of Citrix Files app such as Citrix Files app for Windows, Mac are typically released on a quarterly cadence. Maintenance will be provided on the latest Current Release. Current Releases will reach End of Life (EOL) 18 months after the release date.

Install or upgrade a site: Use the ISO for this release to install or upgrade core components and VDAs. Installing or upgrading to the latest version allows you to use the latest features.

With the new enhancements, HDX Direct now allows both internal and external client devices to establish a secure direct connection with the session host if direct communication is possible. For more information, see HDX Direct.

Using this enhancement, you can now attach metadata with the configuration logs by associating a name-value pair on the high-level operations. For more information, see Associate metadata with configuration logs.

If you are a Universal or an on-premises term licensed customer, you can now register your virtual machines provisioned through OCI with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops. This enhancement allows you to utilize the Citrix technologies for a seamless and secure access to these VMs. Note that we do not provide Machine Creation Service (MCS) or Citrix Provisioning support for machines provisioned through OCI.

After changes in the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops architecture in version 2209, the default icons for Windows desktops and for applications deployed before this release have changed to generic PC desktop icons. This change is only applicable to desktops and applications that are pointing to the default icon. If you want to change icons back to the Windows application default icon, run the following script using the Remote PowerShell SDK: Get-BrokerApplication -IconUid 1 Set-BrokerApplication -IconUid 0.

Loss tolerant mode for audio is now generally available as part of the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2311 release. Audio is now supported over the EDT (Enlightened Data Transport) loss tolerant protocol. This feature increases the user experience for real-time streaming when users are connecting through networks with high latency and packet loss. When this feature is enabled, Adaptive Transport in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops uses the EDT loss tolerant transport protocol for a better audio experience. This feature is disabled by default and can be enabled by policy configuration. For more information, see Loss tolerant mode for audio.

Universal Print Server now supports TLS 1.3 which enhances the overall security posture which includes the removal of all legacy cipher suites, shortened handshake process, updating the TLS protocol version negotiation mechanism, and so on.

New configuration options have been added for the Virtual Channel Allow List logs, which allow you to set the logging level as well as a throttling period to help manage the amount of events generated. For more information, see Virtual channel allow list logging enhancements.

Previously, to enable access to power-managed desktop VDAs in pooled delivery groups (created by MCS or Citrix Provisioning) during a Local Host Cache event, you had to run the ReuseMachinesWithoutShutdownInOutage PowerShell command for each delivery group. Now, you can change the default value of ReuseMachinesWithoutShutdownInOutage for new Delivery Groups created in your environment. For more information, see Application and Desktop.

You can now use the VDA Upgrade Service to update VDAs when you have proxies for internet connectivity and web filtering. The proxy configured in policy takes precedence over the proxy configured in registry. For more information, see Install VDAs. Also, refer to the list of urls that need to be white listed in the proxy.

A commandline tool on the VDA to help Citrix admins diagnose and resolve USB device redirection issues experienced on the client in an expedited manner. This utility tool collects vital information required to resolve configuration issues associated with USB devices attached on the client that are failing to redirect inside an ICA session. For more information, see USB Diagnostics Tool

To improve VDA registration process, machines that fail registrations continuously for two times are put into a quarantine bucket called Sin Bin for a time frame of three minutes. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops turns down the registration request if the machine is in Sin Bin.

You can now access packaged applications, for example, App-V, MSIX, and MSIX app attach on the single-session and shared desktop VDAs. This enhancement ensures that the packaged applications are readily available to use when you sign in. This feature facilitates faster launch of packaged applications and improves your experience significantly by bringing it closer to accessing a locally installed application. For more information, see Publish packaged applications on single-session or shared desktop VDAs.
