Well I never.

I never thought I’d ever see a pair of those on sale

Just out of curiosity, how many AP4’s were built?  I assumed it was only a handful.

I believe about 20 pairs. More were built later as Jeremiah Braithwaite Class As.  I’ve had contact with some owners to advise on upgrades but they don’t tend to part with them so this pair really is a rarity

A great pair of amplifiers. Way ahead of their time. With a fair commercial wind, perhaps Lecson & Stan Curtis would have occupied the audiophile niche that Krell filled some 5 years later.

Hello Stan,

Each of the amplifiers had a serial number? I asked the seller but no answer for now. Maybe this is one of those borrowed from you ../..

I see those AP4s finished on ebay, I assume they finished early.

Has anybody built a pair using the magazine design? I'm rebuilding my AP2 at the moment with new boards from JLC in China but a pair of AP4s might be a nice backburner project in a couple of years' time

The seller told me he had decided to keep them...  but maybe he got an offer he couldn't refuse.

One day I'll get a pair.  One day...
