Hello, John;
I will be preparing a marked up Circuit Diagram for the AP-3 as renovated and modified,
but in the meantime, the main Darlington Pairs are now MJ15022 - MJ15023
as datasheets linked below, now capable of handling the loads;
As you can see from this photo, they are all Motorola as the originals.
regards
Peter

Hello, John;
no; it's the starting version, not the mark 2.
However, it is with the benefit of advice from Stan Curtis on the Lecson website and others
that we researched the technical requirements for the Darlington pairs and upgraded them,
roughly doubling their Amps and Voltage capabilities., at the same time checking reliability
by testing them with half size fuses, using 5 instead of 10 Amp ratings..
We also measured the running temperature, noticeably less than the original, typically
<45degC at which point the fan kicks in, turning everything off if it reaches 62degC.
7,500 UAE Dhs is roughly 1,500 UK pounds
I haven't included shipping as it depends on how and where to.

Peter

Sounds interesting. Is it a MK II amp by any chance?
Also, not wanting to be an ignoramus, but how much is AED 7500 in dollars/euros/pounds along with shipping?
Thanks,
John
