Hi Tim,

Thanks for reacting. I assume you are the 'Tim' mentioned at lecsonaudio.com or.....?

So, this is the story as I know it. My father in law and a neighbor, bought both a Lecson set in the early 70's I believe. Living in the Netherlands they had these delivered directly from the UK. They probably were one of the first Dutch owners of Lecson equipment. He has been using this set since, without any problems. Great looks and a very nice sound I have to admit. Now some time ago one of the connectors failed. I succeeded once in repairing but as it wasn't the first time this cable was repaired and I am no hero with a soldering iron, the fix didn't last long. Right now it looks to me beyond repair.
This weekend I installed a Yamaha receiver (early 80's) so my father in law could at least play some records and CD's. Wasn't top of the bill but reasonable quality in those days I thought. But it clearly didn't come close to what he was used to hear...... got a polite 'thank you' but........... I presume you get the picture.
I definitely want to fix this for him. Last resort would be me buying the right DIN connectors/cable and pick up the soldering iron again. It would be better though if someone more skilled would do this.
So my question is if you could help out. Please let me know if you want to/are able to.
Regards,

Rolf Beinema

Hi Rolf,
Good to hear from you. How long would you like the lead? I have the parts and will make one up for you.
Cheers,
Tim

This is brilliant Tim.
If a 1 meter lead is possible quality wise, would that be very comfortable.
Please let me know what and how you prefer to be paid. Direct wire works well these days within the EU or I can do PayPal. Whatever works for you.
Thanks,

-Rolf
