If you forgot your password, you will need to reset the router back to the factory default settings. Unfortunately this will remove any settings you have and you will need to reconfigure your router.
To reset your router, use a paper clip and press & hold the reset button (usually located on the back of the router) for 10 seconds and release. Allow 1 minute to reboot. The default IP address of the router will be 192.168.0.1 and the password is blank.
If you are connecting wirelessly, you will need to reconnect your device to the default wireless network after the router reboots. The default Wi-Fi network/password may be printed on the label on the bottom of the router or on the included Wi-Fi Configuration Card (newer models).
To reconfigure, refer to the Quick Install Guide included with your router or download the PDF (click Close and then click Downloads).
It is pretty straightforward. I made sure I used a blue USB for the DLink and followed the setup, only for me to get the popup "Preparing to Connect 2%", which sat there for a minute only to be followed by "Setup Cancelled VR Air Bridge was disconnected during setup. Please re-connect your VR Air Bridge and try again."

The good news is ... I got it to work! The support from the ticket system has been pretty underwhelming (they just copy and pasted the same reboot/reset to factory settings from the main page. Great, thanks). So I went to some youtube reviews of the airbridge and scanned the comments. There were a couple of people with the exact same issue as you and I, and one said that they got it to work by launching the program with ADMIN privileges. So I tried it ... same result. Then just for yucks I logged onto my admin account, and set up the head set from there and ... it worked. The bridge set up correctly and then you go to Wifi on the Q2 and select the dlink, enter the password and you are connected. Unfortunately I couldn't run any PCVR games because I don't have SteamVR installed there (at least I think that was the reason).
Anyway - logged back onto my user account and felt sure I was about to solve the problem. The bad news - nope - no matter how I fire up the Oculus desktop app with admin privileges - I get the same result.
Thanks for replying! I tried what you mentioned. Admin on my user won't work still, but I tried under the admin profile. Now I'm able to get to 10%, but now it just hangs there and won't go further. I'm gonna continue messing with it but I may just return this and go with a WIFI 6 router like so many others have mentioned. I appreciate your help and I'll reply back if I figure anything out.
You might want to wait. I think I finally got someone on the ticket system that isn't just spamming "FACTORY RESET!". She suggested a thorough Oculus app uninstall, which makes sense. I did that, but no luck. I gave her detailed logs, so maybe they will be able to figure it out. I know we are not the only ones suffering from this
I actually saw that video while researching before. I see the comment your talking about. I'm gonna try and mess with admin privileges in a bit and see if I can get it figured out on my end. I'll let you know if I do. Thanks again!
And here is the epic finale to this mess. Meta helpfully pointed out "Wow ... it seems like your air bridge needs an admin account to run. You should contact dlink about this issue. In the meantime we recommend you running the airbridge in the admin account".
So is this to say most people that aren't having issues are playing under their admin account or just with no account restrictions at all? Thats a crazy request to use their product, it needs fixed. I'm going to dink with it some more in a couple hours but I have a feeling it will be fruitless.
The REALLY annoying thing is that I did that - just to see if the device was even worth wrestling with ... and yeah - I gotta say - it was almost as good as the link cable experience. Unfortunately I am not comfortable with doing day to day stuff with all my doors and windows wide open.
Hey Dano13_114, we're sorry this is how your troubleshooting experience is going. We're you ever able to get in touch with the D-Link Support Team? If our agents cannot solve this, maybe their can!

I recently bought a TP-Link AC1200 Wifi Extender (RE305) for my home. I got it connected to the router and have all the blue lights across the top. However, on my phone I keep getting an alert on my wifi that there is no internet connection. I have no idea how to fix this, so if anyone could give me step-by-step instructions (because so much of this stuff I just don't understand), I would really appreciate it.
6. If step 4 fails but Step 3 was successful the issue lies within the router and you may need to add the MAC address of the extender to your router's approved MAC table. This step is different for all router makers so you would need to contact the manufacture of the router for assistance with that.
This thread seems to be quite popular and does get a lot of activity each week. Please note that If a range extender is connected but not providing internet the concern is usually in the router. Typcially this happens if one of the following are true:
1. You put in the wrong password for the host network. The extender may coplete the install but the connection is not really established. Check the User Guide for your extender and make sure the light status of your extender matches normal operation for your model. For example for the TL-WA850RE the RE light should be lit. For the RE450 the Ring around the RE button should be blue. If this status is not correct please check the password, reset the extender and try to complete install again.
2. Your router has MAC flitering or Access Control enabled. Both concerns have the same outcome a device being blocked. This could be that an ACL is blocking the MAC address of the extender from connecting or that You are flitering Client devices by MAC. When a client device connects to the extender the Header of the MAC is changed to that of the extender. This is to ensure more complete compatiblity with Clients and routers with the extender. You will want to make sure if using a ACL or access control list that the MAC of the Extender is set to allow or on the white list. The same goes for MAC filtering. If you are using a White or Black list make sure the Extended MAC is also on the list.
As with any networking issues, there are 2 places to look at first: the networking equipment (router) and the device having the issue (computer, smartphone, tablet etc.). As a first step, restart your networking equipment and device and see if that fixes the problem. As with the router, network, wifi and software problems often get fixed automatically with a simple restart. If it doesn't help you, check with the following:
@PleaseHelpMe I only have iPhone 7 and it's and I'm having issues with it being connected but says no network or internet the only thing in whole house that uses internet now my neighbor up the hill has WiFi and has gave me the password to acess his wick it works all the way to the porch and partially I my house I just need about 20 feet i recently bought tp-link 300MbpsWidi range extender I'm frustrated and upset that I cannot get it working the extender was messing with my server on my iPhone 7 do u have an suggestions pl
This might seem obvious, but after having paired your extender with your router, you have to actively connect your devices (phones/tablet/laptops and whatnot) to the extender with the password that you created for your router/extender.
In my case the 305 extender actually seems to have a stronger signal than my router, so I just connect to the extender. Some devices will switch automatically between router and extender, but others you have to switch manually in your devices (phones/tablet/laptops and whatnot) wifi settings menu.
Specifically I was having the same "no Internet connection" when connecting Ring cameras. So the set up of the Ring camera was not possible. I un-plugged the wireless camera DVR and tried to connect. All of a sudden no Internet problems and for the first time the ring cameras connected. Plug back in the wireless camera DVR and all is working.
I am new to this forum and also to OpenWRT and also with a new router D-Link DIR-2660. I found out it is a A2 version. I reseached this forum a lot in order to install OpenWRT on the router. Thank you very much for all the posts and inputs. Maybe my findings can also help somebody in future - I wrote it from a beginners point of view, like I am, thanks for understanding. I added the references I used at the bottom.
