I have 2 buckets of Giant Milkweed cuttings up for grabs. If anyone would like some, they are in front of my house, 3013 46th Ave S. Just don’t take my buckets, please!!

Calotropis Gigantea - Giant Milkweed

Large, thick leaves can sustain more monarch caterpillars
• Full sun to part shade
• Height: 8 to 10 feet…taller in tropical zones. Keep it trimmed, otherwise it will get leggy.
• Spacing: at least 6 feet, 8 feet for perennials
• Flowers: purple/white or all white
• Lightly scented blooms
• Fuzzy textured leaves
• Propagate from softwood stem cuttings

The long stems on these cuttings can be cut in half so you end up having two cuttings from

each stem. If you do this, be sure to cut the bare stem away. The cuttings should have a

node at the top and a node at the bottom.

Bury at least two nodes when planting - roots will develop at each node. You can also lay

the bare stem horizontally, and just press it into the soil, not covering it.
