Martin, again assisted by Emerick, returned to EMI the day after the session to mix its recordings. From 2:30 to 5:30 pm, they edited several mono remixes of the record, with the total number of remixes unknown. Edited together with the Beatles' skits, the finished version runs 6:08.[6] Martin and Emerick copied their finished master version to tape, then sent it to Lyntone Records for pressing.[4]
Released on 15 December 1967, the Christmas record's title, Christmas Time Is Here Again!, is a slight variation on the song's title.[7] As with previous Beatles Christmas records, the seven-inch disc was only released to British fans, with Americans instead receiving a postcard.[5] The complete take of the song has never been officially released.[9] On 23 April 1976, a full version running 6:42 was mixed for mono.[6] The mix was originally only played to executives at EMI Records but first appeared on a bootleg in 1983 and has continued to circulate on CD.[7] Emerick remixed the song again in 1984 for the Beatles' abandoned Sessions album.[18] He mixed the song for stereo, editing it down to 1:08 and cross-fading into a medley with "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da". The song was expected to appear as the B-side of the album's single, "Leave My Kitten Alone", originally planned for a release around Christmas 1984.[7] Never officially released, the two versions of the song began circulating as bootlegs in 1985 and 1986, respectively.[19]
Apple officially released the song as the fourth track of the "Free as a Bird" CD single in the UK and US on 4 and 12 December 1995, respectively.[18][20] Womack writes that Martin remixed the song for this release,[18] while Winn says it is the same stereo mix made for Sessions, but edited down to the first 2:19.[19] Lewisohn's liner notes credit Martin as producer and Emerick as "Engineer/Remix Engineer".[11] After the song fades out the recording incorporates speech from the 1966 fan club disc, Pantomime: Everywhere It's Christmas, recorded on 6 December 1966,[21] as well as Lennon's poem from the 1967 recording.[7] As the B-side, the song did not chart in either the US or UK.[18] On 15 December 2017, the original Christmas records were re-issued on a limited-edition box set, The Christmas Records.[22]
Palevsky asks the atomic scientists why they built this terrible weapon and how they felt about its use on Japanese cities. For every ethical objection she raises, most of her subjects point to equally cherished principles that approved their actions or pragmatic constraints that explained them. She never changes her mind but, by the end of the book, is left without any clear and coherent principles to justify her conviction that the thing was wrong.
Aid climbs are graded by the security of the placements. At the highest levels, when there are no cracks, we latch small hooks and beaks over thin edges in the rock. They'll hold only your body weight. When a hook pops loose, it's going to be a long fall before the rope catches you. On El Capitan, aiding can be enjoyable. At 19,000 feet on Meru, it's frigid, slow, and generally miserable. But we had only one shot at the peak, and this was it.
September 28: The Curse of Good Weather
After a week of torment, the storm finally gave way to high pressure and a choice: Go for the summit in our weakened state, or bail out. We decided to go for it. Above the portaledge, there was still 1,700 feet of overhanging granite between us and the top. Jimmy got the first difficult aid pitch, a series of stacked angular blocks that required him to hook his way up with a careful routine: Reach overhead, hang the hook, step into the etrier, and hope like hell the stacked blocks don't come crashing down. After five hours, Jimmy finished the pitch and named it House of Cards. We'd covered only 180 feet.
Has it been another year? Somehow, it happened. A very quiet year on the Bowie front (will there at last be a Ziggy Stardust-Aladdin Sane archival box set in 2024? ah, who knows), though it was wonderful to attend the Bowie World Fan Convention in NYC back in the summer, where I got to meet Nicholas Pegg and Nacho, among many others.
References Ezekiel 37:1-14, where the dry bones represent Israel (Ezekiel 37:11) whose hope is lost. Under the new covenant, this concept extends to all Christians who might feel hopeless. This request is for God to give us hope, something we already possess in Christ Jesus (see Romans 5:6-8 and Romans 8:18-25).
I teach a class in my church where I pastor and I try to lead the class to feel what can be felt in a trial before I simply give the pat answer which is we already have what we need. There is value in sympathizing with the journey and not simply shouting truth from rooftops.
Thanks for your thoughts! I get where you are coming from. My issue with this song is in regards to prayer specifically, not with viewing Scripture from an emotional/experiencial perspective. It is my conviction that we should not pray for things we already have. For example, I have salvation, why would I pray for God to save us? Rather, I should thank God for saving me if I break His Laws.
However, there are times when our perception of His presence is heightened. (Either emotionally or physically Acts 2:1-4, Acts 10:44-47, Acts 11:15-18, Acts 19:5-6) It is this type of experience that the singers of this song are longing for.
2 Cor. 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2 Cor. 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
3) Entering into the promise land Exo. 33:11-15 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
2Co 3:16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Some days I may not feel like worshiping God and maybe I do not feel like I am what the Word of God says I am but regardless of what I feel, I worship and regardless of what I feel, I am What He says I am. Salvation comes from the Lord and there is nothing you and I can do to earn it so what I feel has no place, I only give place to what I know.
Thanks for your response, even i used your demo data, same error happened. I just import the LuCa-7color image into qupath, and run the script. Is there any pre-settings I need to be done before I run?
Thanks!
@peaantonio
Could you specify exactly which scripts you are using and how? As @smcardle points out, there are two different ways of handling the import. One involves a single giant CSV file with multiple images worth of data, which are separated out by the third column. The second, when you want to perform neighborhood analysis, involves exporting multiple CSV files from CytoMAP and importing a folder of those CSV files, each into their appropriate image. It would help narrow down the problem to know exactly which script you are using and how (link to the post, if possible). The newest scripts should be more robust against null object errors, but it is entirely possible I missed a possible situation.
Hi all, @peaantonio @Fan_Yang,
@Antoine_Fayand was able to provide a sample data set which might have shown which lines of code were causing a problem for certain imports. It had to do with an unexpected coordinate rounding decision; the specifics can be found here.
However, I do not seem to have updated the code here on the forum post. I am fairly certain I did fix the issue somewhere, but I am at a workshop right now and do not have access to the computers where I might have done that. If I can sneak in enough time to look into it again, I might be able to re-create the fix, but it will most likely be next week before I can get to it.
Oops. Yes, there is an issue when copying and pasting something with a link, and apparently I changed sources once I noticed the first copy failed. I updated the text above. It looks like the script up in the sixth post was missing 90% of the text as well, so that has also been fixed.
